Has anyone installed these? I would like to hook them up were they will run off the stock switch that you can have come on with the doors or turn it on with out the doors. The only instructions I can find are for 05-15. I have them mounted and the wires ran just don't know where to hook them up. The stock switch has two pins with power but if you flip the switch to on position none have power. Thanks for any help. 3491df5924e2dfd19cb4db14ea797e2d_5cd47014345fb31ee7436d721f0ef540ee5bfb1c.jpg

Unfortunately the switch is relayed to the light, so you and I are in the same boat.
At this time, and I'm hoping someone else can chime in here and help, it appears to me as though the only way is to wire them directly the the bed lights, which would require a lot of wire and removing the headliner. yuck.

I can't even find where you are suppose to hook them up just to work with the doors.

Yeah super frustrating. I've about given up trying to wire them in to the factory circuits. Probably just going to run power directly and relay them to my own switch.

Word to the wise(r), don't try and hook them to the dome light circuit. It's an expensive mistake.

Best of luck. If you end up finding a circuit that works, I'd love to know about it.

Oh! Another something I just remembered. The Toyota shop foreman told me that all of their lights use a switch side ground, whereas LEDS need an additional.

This is with the truck running interior lights off and the stock switch flipped to on position.

Very good. Still hesitant to do this after the expenses I incurred. I'd hate to burn something else up. Thanks for the info!

Well it worked on mine. What did you burn up? I guess I would be also if something like that would have happened to me.

Man, I really wish I could find a diagram like this for installing keyless entry. This closed ground loop system that Toyota uses doesn't make any since to me.

If it is a Toyota accessory they prob have a diagram like this. I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. Called the dealer and they emailed it to me in 5 mins.

Just installed these, thanks @bp red for getting the right documentation out...nice to have these switched in the bed coupled with the cabover lighting.

Update: I bought the kit who's seller on Ebay was very insistent that this kit was only for the 2015, but after seeing these installed on some 16's in the dealer lot I knew it could be done, just NOT with the Black 1E connector as in documentation for 15's and older. So for about $63 (shipped) and a couple of hours its a nice addition that I think will be plenty of bed light. Only caveat is if I add a topper I will have switched LED light overhead as well. Really a clean install.

Thanks again @bp red for getting the right schematic for this...
