Is the part number on your paperwork? If so, can you post the new part #? Thanks!

The part number on my invoice is 90919-05089. The technician told me the part number didn't change, but Toyota Technical Assistance (TAS) told him to look for a half moon stamp with waffling on the end of the part. If it had the stamp it was not one of the bad batch. He showed me a picture of the two CPS's side by side and the one he replaced was smooth, had no stamp. He said TAS confirmed my truck was built at the plant in Baja during a certain time frame and then told him it was probably the CPS. This from the invoice:

"Test drove truck 14 miles before truck died. Checked live data during cranking and saw no engine speed. Waited for truck to cool down to be able to drive again. Called TAS. #163120503. I was told to start with the crank sensor as the freeze frame data showed no engine speed. Replaced crank sensor with new. Test drove 45 miles to confirm crank sensor was correct."

I don't know the exact manufacture date, but I bought mine in January 2016, so it was manufactured sometime in late 2015. This must be the timeframe they know they used a bad batch of sensors at that plant.
