I'm going to be jealous for sure but I can wait. Will be very much looking forward to seeing the reviews following launch and just squirrel away money where I can that doesn't immediately get put towards the other long term goals I've got lol

The speed sensors are in the wheel hubs so gearing makes no difference. However, tires do. If he hasn't corrected his speed with a speed recalculator then yes, it could be off.

I’m probably adding a tundra to the fleet before long. I’ll use the Tacoma when I’m traveling solo and work and the tundra for towing and when Ive got others coming along. Plus if I have a second vehicle, makes it a lot easier to work on one of them and not be up shit creek when you forgot to order something or broke something

    Yep, been there lol

I keep telling myself too that if I'm patient, i could snag a gen1 raptor for the v8 and TT that, and keep the Tacoma as the reliable vehicle lol we'll see. Really interested in hearing about Mat's idea for boost while in 4lo

Twin Turbo Tacoma.... tacoma is a pretty light truck. This is going to be a ton of fun.

Yeah, for sure. And cheaper than me putting another set of vehicles in the driveway (we have a 4th gen v8 4R and the wife wants the 5th gen). The T4R can become the toy no doubt. Like i said, I'm really interested in the info for this TT in off road situations. I've had my fun with boosted cars on the street, so I don't care much about racing to every stoplight anymore. Lol

That’s my main thing - reliability. First time I get stranded (due to a major failure), a vehicle is gone and I’m finding something new. Between being off grid or 100s of miles from home and usually solo, reliability is very important.

I was hesitant the first time I tuned, but after the miles I’ve logged I think it’s likely helping reliability, not reducing it.

Ideally, 1.05 for the MT drops by the 30th so that i can run the 91 map during my trip that weekend. Bringing my laptop with me just in case it drops while I'm out of town lol

I’m gonna run the 93, up from the 87. Question...I ran my last 87 tank down to about 10 miles left on the tank, put in 93, ran that down to 10, and filled with another 93. Think that’s good? Or one more tank of 93?

I don't know the exact math but a quarter tank of 87 and 3 quarter tank of 93 and you're prolly good for the 91 tune. If it pings, don't get high in rpms for 50 miles then top off with 93

Something else I'd be really interested in seeing or reading is a review of someone's TT Tacoma in higher elevation, like 6500-800ft. Turbos love denser air, and so I'd love to read someone's review/experiences of their truck with the TT kit up that high, since a higher elevation locale is most likely where I'll end up living within the next few years
