When I began flashing a screen kept popping up showing me my battery voltage and asking me if I wanted to proceed. To be safe I connected a battery maintainer bringing my voltage above 12v than I proceeded to flash. When I asked Mat about the Screen that asked me if I wanted to proceed flashing he replied with:

"Yes as long as you're 12.0+ volts you're good to flash."

"Battery disconnect is recommended to clear all learn values but you have to leave it disconnected for a while."

"Only do it if your truck experiences any issues after the flash."

Mine stayed the same, maybe slightly better.....but my driving conditions on most days accounts for not the best MPG.
Yes.....for my truck it is actually predictable and not obnoxious.

1.05 has been released for awhile now. The updated version of 1.05 with the new flash manager haven't.
My username I created back when I had an '03 taco that I was frustrated with.

Read the FAQ. You're asking questions that can all be answered.

The only thing I would personally be concerned with by lugging this engine with boost, is LSPI. Coming from another FI direct injected platform, you really don't want to lug under heavy load / low engine speed combined with boost. This is more-less common knowledge, but people still do it.

I’m lazy. I was hoping gear lock would have been out and I just need to flash once. But I might just flash 1.05 to see what it’s like. From here it seems better than what I have currently.

Honestly this holds true even for NA engines. Just don't do it. There is a reason we have transmissions, MT or AT.

Safety concerns because you get tailhappy with the rear diff locked at speed. Also Its not the best for tight turns because itll bind like a spool but it should be fine for off road. And for those who plan on blowing donuts on pavement just make sure your going in a straight line when you let off the throttle. My 2 cents

I run my truck like a fixie bicycle. Other gears are just an unnecessary luxury!

bshammer0 compared both methods and found that disconnecting the battery did not reset learned values. I did it with Techstream and it does seem to run smoother with more low end torque. I'm running the 87 tune with 87 gas and now have no desire to go back to 93/93.

Seriously, with tires like yours you should at least try 1.03 before 1.05 and then gauge what you really like. You might thank me later
