Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I would have traded mine off it wasn't for OVTune. I enjoy driving it now.

Of course it can not be shared, the man deserves to be paid for his efforts.

 

Click start, type "About your PC" and hit "enter". Scroll down in the screen that pops up to where it says "Windows specifications" what does it say for "Edition"?

 

Anyone else having an issue with Vcruntime? I’ve tried installing it, restarting the machine uninstalling flashmanager, several time and I keep getting the same. Error message. Yes I searched. There was one other guy with the issue, I messaged Mat and his fix of installing vcruntime did not help.

 

1st buy the tune and flash 1.05 93 gearlock and I’m sure you’ll need new tires in no time. It’s a win win for you man

If you're running Windows in S mode, Google "how to get windows out of s mode" or something along those lines and the first links will tell you how, it's super simple. Like someone said earlier, it's very common for Windows tablets and windows laptops with limited space, such as the HP Stream (4gb ram/64gb internal storage). S mode doesn't allow 3rd party apps, but it's free to convert out of it. Do that and download the "Microsoft c++ redistributable". There is a 2017 update for that

Turn off ALL (cloud, app notification, windows defender, smart scan, fire wall, notifications.....EVERYTHING) Windows settings related to virus, scan and firewall. Then try again. F'n Windows has so many barriers that will f it up. I know as it happen to me - thought I had them all off and then...yes I got an install error. And turn off the windows app installer option. once installed go back and restore. Any install, download and flash options in Windows will cause you problems on install, download and use of OVTune Flash Manager programs.

 

Did you download the new version Mat posted a couple days ago that fixes this problem? Not the one in the documentation

 

Really all you need to do is create an exception within Windows Defender for whatever you don't want it to touch. Turning off Defender is nice, yes, but if you shut off and restart your PC, it likes to come back on. Exceptions for folders, file types, etc are permanent

Edit: Permanent banishment of Windows Defender is absolutely possible and it's very easy if you can follow simple directions, which are easily found on Google. However, most people in this thread cannot be described as capable of following simple directions. Look it up and attempt at your own risk

 

I have not. I was using the one on his original post/ instructions. Everything has been disabled I’ve been using this laptop for tuning for almost a year now and this has been my first issue.

Remove everything and Go grab the files in the first post. That should fix it.

So if we download OVtune onto a tablet with S-mode you are saying we can now have a tablet with gear lock?
