Man honestly this is getting tiring. If you don't have a little bit of patience for us to get through everything please don't order!
Getting really tired of people doing chargebacks and threatening to chargeback because they haven't got their reg key yet 1 day later.
I'm going as fast as I freaking can Jesus christ people.

For those threatening chargebacks, you should consider refunding their money and blocking them from future purchases.

Everyone wants instant gratification nowadays....can't save for something, I'll just put it on my credit card.can't wait for shipping, I'll get it today with Amazon. 7r41lbr34k3r is a member here making shift knobs in his spare time, and it takes weeks. I'm surprised he isn't swamped with people whining about their knob:annoyed:

Over 500 miles is fantastic. My best was 430 miles last summer.
Let me guess, under 50 mph roads?
My last tank on 87 base yielded 412 miles with 21.05 mpg/ 21.3 per display

Honestly if I had the patience and only pushed my gas peddle max 25% each time then this could be repeated with each tank fill up. However since I am an offensive asshole driver that’s always in a hurry, I get excited when I see 17 mpg or 280 mile range at fill up!

People wait 8-12 weeks for sliders, but waiting a couple days for a tune is the end of the world lol people are ridiculous.

First, not going the TS route first, and hoping for the path of least resistance...

I'm a dongle user, ECU 04B03, on Base 93 tune. Love it!
I do want to change to ECU 04B04 via the dealer....if it's the path of least resistance. Otherwise I will go mess with the TS fix.
    Truck: 2017 TRD OR A/T
    Built/assembled in Mexico.

    Questions:
Is there a TSB associated with changing the ECU from 04B03 to 04B04? I thought I saw one. Did a quick search did not find.
Should I flash back to stock before taking to the dealer or since the tune is "undetectable" do I even need to flash to stock?
Any other 'key' words to tell the dealer the reason I want to flash to 04B04 other than on stock 04B03 drives like muy caca?

My commute is 10 miles and I’m lucky to get 16-17. On the 87 performance though. Also stock wheels and tires.

The thing is, and what people don't understand or just too careless to even think, is that refund or not, a chargeback against us hits us with an additional fee and puts a ding against our business with our payment processor. And I swear I have never had so many charge backs and so many people try to scam us as what has been happening with these tacoma kits.
Every time there is one, regardless of outcome, it's a negative hit on our business. But why would people care about that. I've never met so many trigger happy chargebackers in my life.

I mean I've got chargebacks from people 2+ months later because they "dont want the tune" anymore.
At this rate I'll likely be blocked by my payment processor and out of business.
Heck I had someone chargeback me months later because he traded in his truck.

So, as a result, we are pulling the kit for a while.

I have about 400 miles on 87 base and really like it...but, in the back of my mind I know there is the performance tune. Most of my driving is highway and I drive like a responsible adult. For those that have tried both, what differences did you notice?

There is a TSB. The TS process is exactly the same as what the dealer would do to update you to 04b04. Most of us have decided it’s easier to do ourselves as it’s fairly easy and less headache than dealing with the service department.

Is there any positive feedback that we can give to your payment processor? I imagine there isn't, like any other ghost hand out there that messes with our financial lives, but I thought that I might ask.

From my perspective, you did an excellent job of communicating on the order and getting the reg file and kit sent out. Obviously, UPS didn't do anyone a good service in my case, but that in no way reflected on you.

Mat, it would be a PITA, but you might want to consider accepting Postal Money Orders as your only method of payment.

Exactly. I have what I consider to be a great dealer. But to load the TSB, I chose to do it myself instead of possibly ruining a good relationship. I was mostly certain that they would have done it, but . . .

My effort was rewarded within the first couple tanks with the MPG bump.
