I think that originally EROM 2.0 was advertised as a standalone upgrade. My truck was about 85% drivable from the factory. @OVTune 1.05 got it to about 93% and from what I’ve read, EROM 2.0 will take it to 99.9% without any need for any hardware modifications to go along with it. The way I understand it, E 2.0 will get rid of the “dead pedal” and get the auto tranny shifting up and down in a predictable and normal manner.

With 5.29 gears I am assuming you would use the 4.88 tune because it will be closer than stock gearing ratios?

Has anyone ordered and received the dump tubes from the OVTune website? Says available in May so I assume they are ready to be shipped?

I currently have the URD Y pipe to go with my cat-back exhaust so the dump tubes are the last piece I need for a complete exhaust system however besides throwing codes will the truck run ok with these installed on 1.05?

I'm thinking maybe I'll just order them now but I won't install them until EROM 2.0 is out (since EROM 2.0 will have a dump tube specific tune), is this what everyone else is doing for those who are going with this setup?

Very happy with my tune. My previous best MPG was 18.8, and that was prior to wheels/tires and Prinsu rack. After those it dropped to mid 16’s. Just got 21 on a trip to Austin this past weekend on 91 base.

I'm in SA too (and also a Chris). I was on 91 base, using 93 cuz we don't have 91 here. I switched to 87 base last week (using 87 and saving some dough) and must say it's a winner over the 91 base. Let that 91 settle in for a couple weeks, then try out the 87. Personally, I could really tell the difference.

Yeah sometimes I wish I didn’t either, this morning I just paid $617 for my CA registration :bananadead:[/QUOTE]
I paid almost $4,000 in sales tax just to get the truck home!

    Keep Austin weird!!!

That's a long flat drive. I'd be surprised if I got anything that good in CA.

And Toyota will still be 5 years behind the competition when it comes to technology and power train features :boink:

You didn't add that it is gonna be a 2.0l.

In house, the code name is Grenade.

Also Toyota is pre-occupied making a LeMans race car which by the rules of LeMans must have a closely related street legal version sold to the public. It’s rumored to have around 1000 horsepower

I do miss the crazy homologation days that gave us the Ferrari 288 GTO, Ford RS2000, Audi Quattros S1, Lancias, and such. A lot of those were grenades also, but lovely ones.

It would be cools to see Toyota get a real halo car again. The LFA just took way too long and was underwhelming on the spec sheet. Except that exhaust note.

A lot of people say the LFA was a masterpiece. But this car is a product of Gazoo Racing and is supposed to be a hypercar competitor
