I didn't but I'll give it a try tomorrow. I should be able to get some miles on it tomorrow to get a better feel for it.

Why did you need to let it idle for 10mins?

I haven’t gotten mine yet, just ordered this past week, and curious if this is something I should do right after flashing for the first time?

Besides that it is in the instructions, that sets the idle baseline for the tune.

How much different is the throttle response between performance version and non when using gear lock? I’ve been on the new tune for a couple weeks now. I still can’t get used to how touchy the throttle is.

To pull into my garage I have to shift back into drive to give me a little more control of slow movements.

There some initial 'learning' that happens as the engine comes up to temp.

Also understand it takes several hundred miles for the learning and settling in.

The pdf instructions said to let it idle for 1 - 2 mins but I'd seen 10 mins somewhere else. I just figured, why not let it idle for a few extra minutes just to be safe.

Has the p5flashutility been disabled for some reason? Just logged on to re-flash and that option isn’t even available when I open up the ovt program.

I realize there have been issues with the flash utility, but I was unaware that it has been disabled completely.

Please disregard. I found the post discussing what I’m seeing. My bad..

I’d like to see a full exhaust with all the 4 cats replaced with the high flow cats you’re using for the dump tubes, I think it could yield some good results

@OVTune. I’ve Been watching this on and off for a while. Biggest issue with my truck is the light throttle shudder at low rpm’s. Sounds like 1.05.1 is the fix, so I’m in. Order #4888.

Question is that the info on the order said it included 1.05, but no mention of 1.05.1. I assume I’ll still have that option, correct?

Hey guys — this thread is bananas long, and i’m sure this has been answered but i’m too lazy to dig through 240 forum pages —
Does OVtune help with torque below 2,000rpm? Because i just had to rape my poor clutch parallel parking backwards up a hill — like, wide-open, still having to slip the clutch just to not stall bad. — on only a ten degree hill per the tilt gauge. Tried to put it in low, but in typical yota fashion, it wouldn’t engage.

The smell of burnt clutch makes me sad!

Once you get set up and registered you'll have access to all the available tunes via Flash Manager and 1.05.1 is available.

Yes it helps but your best bet on your clutch is to do the accumulator delete mod. Also when you shift to 4low put trans in neutral turn the knob to 4low push and release the clutch (in neutral) and it will relax everything. The t case will shift right in after that.

I’m curious how this would affect trucks that are moving weight as when towing. It seems to me based on this explanation that we currently have 3 TC possibilities: unlocked, “slip” locked or as I understand it- half locked, and full lock. Of the three, half locked is where all the heat is generated right? So, if I understand this correctly, 2.0 will eliminates the half locked possibility, which would reduce much of the heat?

I use Fusion to monitor TC status and the only two values ever displayed are 0.0 and 1.0. Would slip lock show up as 0.5? If so, I’ve never seen that.

I pulled about 3500 pounds recently from Long Beach, CA to Reno, NV. We took the 395, which brings you through some pretty serious uphill pulls. I saw A/T oil temp #2 over 240*. At the same time (if I recall correctly) A/T oil temp #1 temp was at around 220*.

There’s also a 2lo plug and play mod under development here on the forum. Meant specifically for situations like you’re describing.
