Agree about the early shift to 4th. Would like that gear to show up a bit later.

Proud to be a part of it.

I think Mat needs to start a new thread. Wading through 2.5K pages of information is not something most people want to deal with. Extracting critical/real information and updates is not practical.

Mine is doggy with the AC on. I understand the compressor is going to rob some power, but it feels like it really saps the 3.5.

Latest beta tune on 04B31. Lag between 1st and 2nd from a stop if accelerating hard. Reaches 6k rpm in 1st, lag in power, and drops to 4k before 2nd. Anyone else have this issue?

Sometimes I can't tell the difference...then sometimes it feels like I've lost a couple cylinders. I'm sure twin-charging could solve this. Come on tt+sc @30 psi. I'm jonesing

    On 2.0 93 beta. 45 min drive. 40-60mph.

I’ve never seen these numbers before. It could be the new tires, but I don’t think it is. I’m coming from 255/85R16, now on 275/70R17. They are only a few lbs lighter, but the wheels are likely a little heavier (both Ray10s).
Yes, 2.0 makes spirited driving fun, but it also makes it easy to drive slow and smooth.

I've been thinking this for quite some time. I've the 6MT and have been running the 2.0beta since drop and I live in the Southwest U.S. in a desert. Truck is perfectly happy with no a/c running and while I know that using the A/C will rob power, it just seems excessive how weak the truck feels with it going, like the truck has zero balls and I've got to bring the rpms up as high as I did on the original OEM tune all the way back in 2017 just to get off the line or make proper shifts lol

But I didn't have this kind of issue on the previous FO maps. That extra low rpm power was available and I could blast my A/C all day and not feel like the truck was struggling. I'm glad someone else has brought this up because I was starting to think I was just being too picky. Makes me think though that any 6MT's in the desert basically need to run FO out of necessity to utilize A/C while still maintaining a good driving experience.

This is weird. Yesterday, the fam was along and we took a long drive. A/C was on because, well, you know, and we were doing 75 for a good bit. I got over 22mpg in both directions and didn't feel any significant power loss.

The lower gear shifts weren't always smooth as without the A/C, but we had no problem getting the Taco to scoot along, either getting rolling, accelerating, or holding speed on hills.

I would have had the A/C off and windows opened, if I was alone, but it was a good day and the Taco shined as always.

People that experience this need to bring it to my attention via zendesk, as I've asked. It's a beta. If an issue is found, we will find out how to correct it and release a new version.

Really simple idea I think. The beta is for you to be picky, find what you don't like, and tell us. So we can make changes.

This is not the "end" file so don't think that.

I was trying to avoid adding to the email backlog with something that seemed more trivial and maybe expected, seeing as it's been known for a long time that A/C will sap some power. Will email zendesk.

04A61, is it just me or does the 1, 2, 3, 4 shift seem nearly perfect when the truck is cold and then changes at normal operating temp? Once warm, the 3rd TC unlock/lock develops slightly and then we get into 4th.

Old man driving habits here too.

Agree. After leaving the house in the morning, I witness the best shift points. I have a short drive in the neighborhood and then get on the highway. 1-2-3-4 are perfect when accelerating up to speed.

Same type of commute here also...nice to know this shifting experience seems repeatable and can maybe get addressed.

Mine has similar behavior at full throttle. Latest 2.0 for 04A61, 33’s, 3.91.

No ECT... shift to second at 6400RPM, shifts to third at 6700RPM, but seems like it struggles to do so.

ECT... shift to second at 6400RPM, then gets stuck at 6700RPM until I let off the gas.

I also have the AC issue, but I feel like that’s been there since stock, would be great if he could fix it....didn’t think about mentioning it before since it was a stock issue

I’ll submit a ticket, but yes, something strange is going on there.

Edit: ordered my HH, does that mean I can sell my dongle?

No noticeable loss of power with ac on, it’s never off in my truck :D.

In my 2.3 liter ranger, when the compressor kicks on it feels like a ton of blocks got instantly chucked into the bed.
