Is that a special cable? I thought it is just a regular mini USB cable.

The cable used to connect the tactrix adapter to your PC is just what you think it is, a regular old mini USB cable which is why I've never understood why they keep saying taxtrix cable when referring to the tactrix OBDII adapter.

I traveled from Asheville nc to Rydal ga and back over the weekend. 235ish miles each way. Route was through mtns of north ga. Extreme hills. Many long climbs.
    Mpg average was 23.5!
Torque converter shudder was very bad.

This is what I am still worried about. 19 sport and have had that shudder since about 600 miles. It sucks bad. 1.05 and 1.05.1 still do it. I have 04b30 so have not been able to try 2.0.

I missed the second beta, but otherwise my opinion is similar. The current OLE edition never did seem to figure out that I run 93. It shifts better than the first gear lock beta, in the sense that I don’t feel any sloppiness or ‘indecision’ but it drives like it thinks it has 87 in the tank. It’s quick to shift down into lower gears, and gas mileage is 1.5 to 2 mpg lower. I finally flashed back to the original 93 beta this weekend, and my mileage and driving feel went back up immediately. If Mat could fix the minor shift sloppiness in the original gearlock beta I’d never use anything else.

Will send this to Zendesk when I get a chance

I'm wanting to say he is referring to the adapter itself and not the usb cable as you can look at the Tactrix website it doesn't mention anything special about the included usb cable except to say they include one as all the hardware needed to use unless you have a vehicle that requires a separate reflash adapter.

It’s a base tune. Just happens to be the one he’s testing at the moment. It’s not meant to be peppy.

FWIW, I used a regular mini USB cable I had laying around and it recognized the Tactrix fine.

With the conservative turbo configuration, I'm sure there will be plenty of reliability. With what Mat has said about the internals, the lower boost shouldn't have much effect. Especially with so much talk about the new Tundras having our same motor with turbos.

The more aggressive configuration, that's a different story.

Looks like a labor day sale going on, so I went ahead and got the tune package for my '19. dont know if there will be any performance gains, but at least the shift algorithms will be more pleasant, with better mileage... and I'll like the gear lock when using S mode.

Would somebody be willing to help me with interpreting data regarding misfires using Techstream? I have a custom set of items to be logged (the list came from Mat). It seems that I’m able to capture the data, but I don’t know what it means. I send the logs to Mat, and although he publicly has said that he reads all the zendesk emails, it would be nice to get a reply so that I have a better understanding of what’s going on with my truck. I know he’s busy, so wanted to reach out to the community here. Also, I’ve been providing logs for multiple variations of the tunes, but my misfires are defiantly still there.

Also, is there a way to view the data in graph form? When I click the graph icon on the bottom of a captured log, the area of the page where it would seem appropriate to show up is blank. The left side of the page however, has a list of all items being monitored. When I press play, the left side gives me a second-by-second replay of the drive cycle, while the right side stays blank.

    Thanks in advance
    -Mike

I’d be up for that, but I’d need to wait for the handheld to show up.

A quick note, halfway through a bottle of wine.
Drove to Iowa this weekend pulling our ~1800# trailer w/ 2.0 OLE base running 91 octane; a repeat of a trip we made in June w/ 1.05 87 base running 87. Seemed like the fuel mileage was way down, but I will try and parse data from Fuelly tomorrow. What I want to report to all of you is that I was getting 12.5 mpg in D, but I was getting closer to 14 mpg if I put the shifter in S-6, and left it there. No ECT with either. S shifted just like D, but with less TC slip.
I only post this so that you TW folks who log more miles can experiment and confirm or correct my observations.

I did a stupid mistake by sorting my downloaded files latest first to newest, so I did flash the first beta build again in my truck and experienced the same behaviour on the highway with the dead pedal.. so dumb.

I noticed my error this afternoon when I wanted to flash it back to stock by looking at the logs, so I flash the build 16012 in it for real... wow

I have nothing to complain about, tip in is smooth, power is everywhere, shift is perfect, I can accelerate on highway using the 4th gear in steep hills, gas mileage is good.

I didn't experienced any torque converter shudder nor AC power loss.

I cannot believe how good my truck is right now, @OVTune if there is any further change in the tune I am pretty sure I will stick to this build, I love how it drive. It drive like a real Toyota truck now, wow, I mean WOW !!! Perfect!!!

If this was the stock tune in tacoma, competitions should be worried how good is the tacoma now.

Finally! this tune is perfect to me, really, Mat thanks  I was really considering trading my truck for a manual tacoma, or a tundra. I sent an email to close my ticket,

Double click on items on the left. The graph for that item will appear on the right pan.
Selected parameters are moved to the top of the list on the left pan.
You can add up to 10 graph, correct me if in wrong.

    Capture intake temp, coolant temp.
Mofo is misfiring badly on cold engine. If 79° is cold..
