@OVTune - did you scrap the crawl mode select altogether? If so, would you consider making it available as a separate purchase option?

I think he has an alternate method, equally functional for manual and automatic. But he’s mum about how.

Why are you concern about misfire? Aren’t they normal?.... unless you have an abundant of them.

I do not expect a base tune to be snappy the way a performance tune would be. I do expect it to get good gas mileage, and if it's a 93 octane tune it should hold gears better than an 87 tune. I was pointing out that the gas mileage was worse on the 2.0 beta base tune than on the original 2.0 gearlock beta, and that the downshift pattern felt more like what would happen on an 87 octane tune than on a 93 octane tune, even after ~700 miles of mixed driving, including the recommended full-throttle pulls to speed up the octane learning.

Agreed. I switched back to the gear lock beta also. Truck runs much better and the gas mileage is better too.

Gotcha. If mpgs are your goal, try the base tune with base fuel. It’s worth a shot since at a later date, we’ll be able to switch on the fly. The only question then becomes (since it’s common for a tune to require a minimum of a few hundred miles before settling) how many tanks do you plan to run between switching.

@OVTune I hate to add another post to this thread, but every time it's mentioned it seems to get glanced over.

    1. Is a 5.29 specific tune still a possibility in the works?
    2. Is speedometer calibration through the tune still a possibility?

Thanks for all you've done, the Beta is very solid and much improved over 1.05. I know we're all looking forward to seeing what you release in the future.

Has anyone sold their dongle kit? I just sold my truck and no longer need my tune kit with the dongle.
I sent an email to support and while I wait for a response I wanted to know if it's been done before...

Just my input, after about 1500 miles.

This non gearlock 2.0 OLE tune is good but seems sluggish compared to the first 2.0 OLE tune (run 91 octane). Have noticed a slight dead pedal but nothing significant. Tip in is perfect, just wish it had the pep the first version of 2.0 OLE had.

I agree, gear ratio specific tunes and speedo calibrator would be great.

As an example, I got 6 this morning on my way into work which is a 4.4 mile drive. I still have them after the engine is warm too. As a beta file, Mat is working to make this better.

I got 22 this morning on 3 mile trip to gas station and 3 for on 17 mile trip.
It seems the engine/intake temps and low engine load are the culprit. When I switch to TSB, aka stock, a get 1 or 2 mfs under the same circumstances

Report to zen desk so Mat can count heads and correct if needed.

I miss a lot, but I don't see anything about speedometer adjustments in the first post. Not trying to be rude, just seriously don't see anything on it.

Maybe I'll rephrase then, how are those things coming along? Any advancements in making the speedometer adjustments a reality? Last I was able to find in this thread it was only theoretical. As for the 5.29's mostly everything we've seen in this thread has been for 4.88's. It's understandable that Mat would need to do the tunes for 4.88's vs 5.29's separately due to install issues, I am just hoping for a simple yes or no if it's still in the works from Mat while I asked about the speedometer fix. So I don't think me asking if he's made any headway on it is out of line. Hell, compared to a lot of posts in this thread, at least my posts are related to the tune. :notsure:

Anyhow, again thank you @OVTune for what you've done already. Seriously great work for our trucks
