I still ready every ticket that has feedback, but due to the volume of them, decided not to respond to them unless necessary.
For trucks that have a specific issue, I wouldn't expect 2.0 to solve that specific and unique problem. That's going to require some individualized changes, no way around it.

Current versions / betas that have been released aren't anywhere near the finished 2.0. I only released them publicly after doing several internal / individual tests, and to gauge the publics current feedback. Octane learning is a great example, testing this on 1 / 2 / 3 trucks is not enough feedback to see just how well it is working. So we need to modify our code a bit.
But overall every beta we've posted are really the barebone versions. I needed to get some generalized feedback on all of the "main" settings before releasing anything finished. I decided this because this idea "2.0 should've been kept to a small group of preferably stock trucks, so the developers can work directly with the group and address issues, analyze issues, design fixes, install, test and repeat until the tunes is satisfactory in all driving environments and conditions." did not work out well when we did this for 1.05. The feedback from the internal testers was the opposite of what many wanted.

The overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, and I can't stress this enough : any, any, any version of beta that anyone has flashed is NOT the finished tune.

Also I dont think I've posted this and the blog is TBD on it.

Tune feature selection will be controlled through cruise control buttons (accel, decel, cancel)

Gearlocking will be controlled by S-mode, no longer tied to ECT

I'm testing a method for trucks with adaptive cruise control to lock gears and select gears by the cruise control buttons and s-mode. (hold cancel button, select gear in S)

S-mode will not longer default to "next available point" when trying to upshift. You press it, it's commanded. So if you upshift at 4000 rpm it upshifts at 4000, not whenever after.

S-mode shifting Up and Down *can* be swapped since that seems to be a common request. Pull back to upshift..

    that's some of the stuff

The shifting was the opposite in my BMW and took me years to get used to it in the taco

I look forward to the updates! Keep up the great work Mat

Now that is killer. I have no idea what Toyota was thinking when they gave us the ability to select which gear to be in, but only once the computer decided to finally shift to it. Makes no sense and goes against the way almost every selectable auto trans out there does it.

Have you been able to get the same control/response on the downshift? So when I click to downshift it will immediately do so and not wait until "next available point?"

I would request that when shifting into S-mode. The default gear is whatever gear the truck is currently in.

the default currently is 4th gear. which is annoying when your cruising 6th gear and want to lock it in... it drops down to 4th, then you have to up shift back up....

But cruise will still work, right? 1.05 and 2.0 (even more so) have made my cruise actually useful, so I wouldn't want to give that feature up just to be able to select different tune versions on the fly.

I use standard cruise control almost every day, so I sincerely hope it still works in 2.0.

I suspect that he may make it so the lever only changes tune modes when Cruise Control is not turned on. IOW, the moment you hold the button on the end to activate Cruise Control, the tune selection mode would turn off. Make sense?

If we lose cruise control altogether in 2.0, then I'd have to stay with 1.05.

Or even just defaulting to 5/6 would be better than 4th

Question on this. Will this have any impact to normal usage of the Adaptive Cruise Control (Radar Cruise Control)?

You will not lose any normal cruise control functionality, since you use the "CANCEL" button to enable changes. The only thing is you cannot make changes when cruise control is ON/ACTIVE
