are you dongle or no-dongle? If dongle your dongle it is your registration. If no-dongle your registration key is saved to your computer registry (and should be saved in your download file), and you should not have to do anything other than run p5f to flash new tune. Still go and get it updated to 04B04 and then you will be ready to flash once you get your OVTune registration issue resolved. I'm pretty sure I'd be on board for that. I think the 19800 response from a dead stop is perfect for a stock truck - it comes on predictably for tight maneuvering and 4lo. Once the truck is rolling and in 2nd or higher, I'd be fine with having it switch to the 19700 throttle curve.

 

pulled these about accessory handheld instructions. Which one is right, how are we to get the instructions?

Also for everyone reading,

My earlier reply assumed that you were dongle-less. If you had 1.04, then you should have a dongle.

Try this:

In FM, select Dongle to download the 1.05 tunes that you want. With a dongle, the file extensions must be PCM.
Find your dongle and plug it in.
In FM, use PCM Flash, not P5F Flash.



Now, if you contact OVT, you can swap to dongleless for free. That involves getting that REG file from OVT that I mentioned earlier.


If you want to update your ECU to the latest TSB version. I can still help with that here after work.

Any thoughts on what this error is

 

Just a thought, but maybe the reason is in the error message? Did you install all the OVtune software, including the drivers?

 

It's the harness/plug that goes to one of the o2 sensors...heading to the dealer tonight regarding it and yeah, just gonna leave the truck how it is.

 

This is probably elementary but how do i ensure guardent driver is updated

 

If it still doesn't work, turn off your virus scanner and try again.

 

Did that and the update..will restart computer

 

You need to use p5flash. Not pcmflash.
