Ok, I see. I don't your tire size and that may play a big difference.

No i am not saying that. That was 40 miles coming down a snowy mountain then traveling home on a highway. Chillax man, I was just as surprised as anyone being my truck is lifted with weight added and bigger tires. 4.88’s make for an optimal setup because the truck can maintain momentum better, therefore not working as hard when cruising (my theory)

As noted in a previous post, my trip up the mountain was 17mpg. The total trip was 22.2mpg for the 127 miles

I have the old guardant purple dongle setup, have those been completely phased out?
I tried to redo my tuning today after getting the latest tsb and using the new flash manager I cant get my software to register and my old dongle flash program says my dongle is not registered.
What do I need to do to get the new tune. Or any tune?

Ok that sounds plausible. Just saying the way it was posted was deceiving

Must be something wrong with my truck, I can only get into the 20s if I drive 55 everywhere I go. Moment I go 70+ it's in the teens. Last tank was about 17.5, mostly highway at 70 to 80.

Just blows me away people on here claiming 26+. Only time I ever got that was when I coasted down the hill after filling the tank, but then that immediately went down to like 19 the moment imade it back up the hill again out of the valley. 488 gears would make MPG worse, weight would make it worse, anything attached to the outside of the truck would make it worse, taller, heavier or wider tires would make it worse. Yet mine is basically stock andI rarely see it even get into the 20s real time. Let alone after an average calculation. I'm in PA, just assumed people getting 26 live on a 1000 square mile piece of glass at sea level. Or my shits broke.

    What exactly is your question?
Yes, with the gearlock tunes you lose normal etc function. You can still use s4 to lockout 5th and 6th gear. If you use gear lock, it will keep it in 4th unless the rpms drop too much, then it will downshift.

The mpgs on these trucks are all over the place. The same two trucks could get different mpg in the exact same situation.

I'm sorry if this question has been asked, but is flash manager currently disabled? Currently installed FM ver. 1.3.0 and nothing pops up when i select tabs.

Have you tried reinstalling the guardant drivers?

That's my mpg using the OLE tune with 285/75/17 wheels. I'm used to driving crappier mpg vehicles.

I’ve seen mid 20s at sustained periods of 45-55 mph. Beyond that it’s low 20s. Over 70 it’s upper teens.

It’s not often. Most of my highway and “around town” driving is 16-19mpg

4.88’s don’t make it worse if it makes pushing a body of weight easier. That’s a big misconception. After testing various sizes I would think 4.88’s with stock size tires does not make sense due to abnormal high revs at highway speeds (>70mph) (less efficiency)...4.88 gears make sense if your tires are bigger, or you run a BUNCH of weight with a stock tire rig. It just drives with ease

I purchased the handheld back in August, finally gave up and got it replaced with the normal flash kit on 11-27-19. Kit came in on 12-10-19. Still haven’t gotten my registration file though. Also @OVTune I didn’t get a return label or address to send the handheld back, if you can send that so I can get the handheld returned.
