This is starting to get scary. Something has to be burning inside the combustion chamber. If it's not gasoline, then what is it?

I guess it makes sense for me to just get the Tuner and Tune Pack myself for future updates and swapping back to stock for trips to the dealer.

Can anyone confirm that if I purchase the VFTuner w/ cable and Tune Pack that I will receive the 1.05 AT tune and partial 2.0 AT tune as ihatemytruck indicated AND the complete 2.0 AT tune down the road (at no additional cost)?

On another note, I checked my ECU Cal ID with Carista - 04A61. Is this the most recent or is there an update I should do in Techstream before flashing with OVTune? I had asked the dealer to do the 62-18 TSB... Did they do it? I am hoping you can tell me.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I believe 04A61 is the latest for that series. I'm less certain about 1.05 for you. I purchased many moons ago so have the flashing tool already for P5 tunes. Perhaps it comes as part of the VFTune kit as well. If so, you'd be good to go. And yes, you'll get the 2.0F versions when released.

Mine is a fake lol. I filled up in Woodland Park just enough to get home, it's a loooooong downhill road from there to Colorado Springs. Thought the mileage was pretty funny since I was mostly coasting.

Hey Mat, is there a fix for the 85 mph top speed for us guys on 5.29s. I don’t race my truck around, but occasionally need to be able to cruise at 90 when the speed limit is 75. I’ve emailed you a month ago, but no reply (yes, I checked the spam folder)

    Thanks,
    Matt

Nothing yet. It was supposedly fixed in the last “final” but I have the same issue.

I don't have 50 posts here, but my Tacoma is now gone, and I have an OV Tuned Cable and original packaging that's probably worth about $100

    I wasn't sure. I don't have that issue or 5.29s.
I hope you guys get your resolution.

If I'm not mistaken, you would need the vFTuner software ($199) and a Tune Pack ($390). Total $589, plus the cable. The old OVTune Flashkit, Cable, and Tune Registration is no longer a thing that can be purchased.

So a bit lost, are the mapped modes available yet in 2.0 for the 2020 AT?

OVT's website last blog post for 2.0 FINAL AT said those were not available yet but that was mid June.

Also not much feedback on final 2.0 on the 2020 trucks, improvement?

Coming from a 4Runner V8 I absolutly hate the power-train (peaky power and the worst auto programming ever) and ride in this truck and has me looking to get rid of it 7k miles in. Reviews seem to say the tune makes the power-train live-able.

AT 2.0 final tunes should drop any day now. 2.0 final without gearlock and performance modes is already out.
