    1.05 Release information *****Editing*****

    - Major overhaul to our current tune that modifies:
    Valve Timing - Extended

Atkinson mode has been modified to extend to further load points, with intake advance ramping in low load and low RPM for better immediate response below 1500 RPM.

Modified atkinson mode extends up to 3200 RPM, for a specific reason (outlined under shift changes).

    Ignition Timing -

Ignition has been modified (base table) smoothed and calibrated for 93 octane with a peak advance target of 33* WOT (higher RPM)

Through multiple rounds of thorough and rigorous testing we have encountered ZERO pining, studder, or misfiring with our modified ignition.

    Engine Air Load -

Multiple changes to Air charge control and 4D throttle mapping.

This allows us to to have immediate and responsive off the line performance, more tip-in response, and zero throttle torque reductions (full throttle capability @ WOT)

    - All gears have been completely redefined for better response, shifting, and cruise / highway / power demand.

Gears 1-4 have been set to primary gears for non highway driving

Gears 5-6 have been setup for highway driving.

Automatic Transmission Option - S- ECT Gear Locking
    How does it work?
While in S mode, you press the ECU button which will activate Gear locking in any gear above 1800 RPM (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th) 5th and 6th gear lockout option (cannot shift to 5 or 6) is also possible.
You control shifting up or down via the shift lever
**For safety the truck will automatically downshift below 1500 rpm, or at rev limit**

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrBPywFF0YE&t=2s

    upcoming:

Automatic Transmission Option - S- ECT 4Low Gear Locking -

Automatic Transmission Option S- ECT 4 high Gear locking -

Manual Transmission Option - 7000 RPM Rev Limiter -

Manual Transmission Option - Per gear Throttle Table calibration (2D) ** ( rescaled throttle angle target to accelerator base tables)

    **General Information**

Our tune kit is designed to work with stock and highly modified Tacoma 3.5L 2GRFKS to reflash the stock ECU for better driving / enhanced response, and more power.

    - Our flash tune is non detectable
    - Our flash tune (on a stock truck) has been emissions tested
    - Our flash tune has been independently tested and shown to increase MPG on the Tacoma by 2-3MPG on average (91 octane)
    - Our flash tune is tested, developed in house on our 2017 Tacoma 3.5L TRD
    - Our flash tune has ECU protection - You cannot brick or damage your ecu from our software
    - Our flash tune has ECU Lock protection -
Please see our terms and conditions for more information https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/tuning-performance-terms

Upcoming Development (not strictly related to 1.05 Release)

    - Gear resize tuning (wheel size adjustment)

    - Tunes specific to gears 4.88 and 5.29 (automatic transmission TCU tuning)

    - Tundra Throttlebody Mod Specific tune - Throttle curve recalibration / airflow tables

    - ACIS Delete - Tune - Hardware plate

** will be edited further with more ***

Will it be traceable by the dealer? For instance in the case of a warranty issue-- is there a way to revert and clear any trace of it being used?

My body is ready. I'm quite interested to see what you found out, and although I know it is a long shot I hope some of that could pave the way for an OTS tune for the 2.7 2TR-FE.

Well if they can add some mpg, fix shift points and throttle response, I'd be in. But if the can squeeze a few extra hp/tq that would be a plus.
