    In progress.... And getting better!
I finally was able to flash to 1.04R 91 and it’s great to have my truck back. The difference between the new stock tune and OVTune is less noticeable and I think it’s because Toyota got the performance closer to how the truck should have run originally when they released the recent update. There is definitely still a difference though. OVTune still has better throttle response than Toyota and ECT actually works. Looking forward to 1.05!

Couldn't wait and had to try out the new TSB in hopes of it correcting the ridiculous 4/5/6/5/4/5/6 bullshit shifting during highway driving. I will say this, after a 350 mile drive today, it is better at maintaining 5th gear than ever before (even with OVT 1.03 or 1.04), but it is still far far from good. Stock wheels and tires here, 900' elevation, mostly flat roads with 75mph speed limits. Driving 80 mph with a 20mph cross wind cruised a lot in 5th gear, sometimes 6th, but still a lot in 4th. Before this TSB, it would be running in 4th gear about 70% of the time. Driving 80 mph against the 20mph wind still cruised quite a bit in 5th gear, but had a lot of completely unnecessary downshifts to 4th gear on totally flat ground, and it would stick in 4th at 3500 rpm's for miles on end. Any uphill in either scenario and its in 4th gear for ever. If 1.05 can't stop this garbage I'm very seriously considering getting rid of the Tacoma. My old 2001 Tundra with 300K miles drove much better down the highway than the 3rd gen Tacoma, and even got the same highway gas mileage. Why can't this damn thing just cruise along in 5th gear at 80 mph without all the drama? It's running somewhere like 2300-2500 rpms on stock wheels/tires so there is actually a bit of torque available there.

Holy crap, you already have turbos on a tacoma?

I don't know what you can talk about yet, but will the setup be similar to ecoboosts? As in, smaller turbos for lower rpm power?

Just the TSB. Got tired of the clunks in 1.04 so I’ll wait for 1.05.

The manual will do it  75-80 mph and it’ll pretty much cruise through anything. The gearing is so much better for highway speed driving (65+)

Is the 15th the day the kit releases or is it the day the results of testing a kit releases?

Since you're on 04B04 ECU, you should update to 1.04R, see if the clunk remain. If it does, you can flash to stock 04B04 until 1.05 arrive.

I'm very tempted to flash 1.04R but worried the clunk still present, I had the clunk on 1.04 just like you. I'm on 1.03 now, which is not compatible with 04B04.

    No details until the 15th.
Was just kidding about Magnuson. They are working on something. I talked to them a few weeks ago.
