I should rephrase, it's not that I can't download it, I can't get it out of .RAR and into something useable.

Well, I just went ahead and flashed to the latest TSB (I was on OVTune 1.04 91). I haven't driven much, but I have noticed the smoother shifting. No highway work for me, so I can't comment on the decreased highway shifting others are reporting. Still looking forward to 1.05. :)

I had to search the forum to find different posts with the "free" TechStream download and the TSB CUW files to apply so I thought I would just quote them all here in one post so if someone else is looking to flash the TSB themselves, all the info can be found in one post (and it should have all the key words for searches too :))

A nice quick write-up on what you need to do...thanks @bshammer0

The CUW files for Autos (when unzipped, 34-18 is for '16-17 trucks and 36-18 is for '18 trucks)....thanks @bshammer0

The CUW files for MT...thanks for the reminder @inksin and the files @ToyoVL

Link to "free" techstream that worked for me on a Windows 10 machine...thanks @ToyoVL

A rar file is like a zip file, except you have to use WinRar to unzip it.

    https://rarlab.com/download.htm

Choose the second one on the list.

Alright, it's downloaded and stuff. Now I remember a while ago in the MT thread, they were having issues using the registration key and mat said they had to replace something with the included .exe file in the techstream file. What's that all about?

Win you unzip that file it's an iso image file (a CD/DVD image). You need to either burn the iso to a CD/DVD or mount it as a CD/DVD drive. When you do that, you'll see it has several files, including the techstream install .exe and instructions that tell you to replace the MainMenu.exe file that is installed with techstream with the one that is on the CD image...all the directions are on this page if you scroll down...

    http://blog.obdii365.com/2017/09/18/install-toyota-techstream-12-02-024-on-windows-7/

Be aware that it tells you to copy the new MainMenu.exe to "c:\Program Files\Toyota Diagnostics\techstream\bin\"
but for me it was c:\Program Filesx86\Toyota Diagnostics\techstream\bin\ that I needed to copy it to. Also, once you install techstream, you will need to register it (using the key in the directions txt file on the cd image) before you can flash the CUW file.

I think someone said it earlier but as a reminder, don't forget to change the connection device setting in TS to the tactrix cable otherwise it won't do nuttin
