i did. Im going to switch to my mac and use windows on that to see if it works. 4th time is a charm i heard.

Got my truck back, pulled stock files and sent off to Mat! The process is quite easy with the new dongles. Had no problems connecting or reading...took just enough time for me to pound a beer.

 

Thought the same thing but finally figured it out it works for both 2Hi and 4Hi/Low at a complete stop hold the trac off button down for about three seconds you'll see both the trac off light as well as the tire track looking one come on I've been using it this way to spin my tires as much as I want.

 

Have 33s and it can easily spin the right tire when making a right turn if I have it floored and trac control off, it's just taking the weight off that tire lol

 

# 1939 Received Kit today ..... did not receive tracking info ....... but, that's cool.

 

Can everybody who has received their kit download the third item in the instructions? The Gaurdant software license installer?

It is hosted on Google Drive and the page tells me it is no longer availalble.

Edit: Or is that obsolete now since the dongles are pre-programmed?

 

Was easy once I got the damn USB to read Fromm tactrix! Sent my files over a few hours ago - no doubt he has dozens sitting in his box after a day on the dyno!

 

With the new dongles you need to download links 1 (J2534 Drivers), 2 (Guardant drivers) and 4 (PCM Flash Installer)

Item 3 was for the old dongles.

 

So...with the tactrix cable, I'm assuming techstream works? Where do we get a copy of the application (spyware free!)

Anything else we can utilize the tactrix cable for?

Oh snap! That is sweet. Does it have full just like factory?

 

I'm having trouble installing the PCM flash. When I unzip, it just creates an empty folder, same name as ZIP file. What am I doing wrong?

Also, when I plug in the guardant code USB device, it's not showing up in Explorer. Any ideas?

 

I'm using windows 10 so YMMV, but using windows explorer for the zip file, I just copied and pasted the .exe to my desktop.

I didn't look for the USB in explorer but I'd guess it's not there because it's not formatted as a drive. May be seen as another system device. If you launch PCM Flash and the USB dongle is working you'll see it was found.

 

I'm on Windows 10 as well. Ive tried just clicking on the exe, but no luck. I've tried extracting, but it only creates an empty folder by the same name. I just tried dragging/dropping to desktop, but nothing happens.
