    That almost sounds like a fuel pump issue...? In-tank fuel filter? I don't think we have a fuel filter outside the tank.

    @DCSBMurph ,

    Those codes indicate both banks too lean. Is 1.05 your first tune flash?

    I only ask because you said you've had a CAI for a long time..

    I think it’s actually the second version. It was the mass email release for 04b04 just before New Years.

    I might try 1.05 87 to see if it’s better but it’s nice now so I don’t know

    Yes first time flashing this truck. Dont notice any driveability or idle issues when these codes appear on either occasion

    This. many post on the CAI with this mod that have code (lean and or O2 sensor) due to K&N filter element oil fouling MAF. Get rid of the oiled filter and go back to the dry filter.

    Well that sucks! who's CAI are you using? I run the @G Tek Fab stock air box mod and have never had issues before or after Tune.

    well only a few paths to take to isolate the issue. Start with clearing the codes - can be done via the Tune flash software. Check the MAF sensor connection and sensor for contamination - downstream from the air box. Check the O2 sensor connections on the exhaust. Hope you get it figured out.

    Just curious. Any stock trucks experiencing 2nd gear torque converter switching in and out with steady throttle? Also, 3rd gear short shifting to 4th? Have 1.05 91 tune.

    3rd short shifting to 4th is intentional, unfortunately.
    I suggest using the ECT button til custom tunes.

    I think I may also swap back to the original file. I'm the same truck as yours. 4" lift, 275's, armor, stock gears, shell, B04.

    Well, after reading through the diagnostic procedure for those codes you get to a point where active tests can be done with techstream to see if the system remains lean in real time. If after forcing the use of direct injection and then Port injection, and the system is still lean on both, this is next:

    Lean codes.jpg

    Keep in mind that one of the first things Mat did long ago was to lean this sucker out. Perhaps that IN ADDITION to your CAI is causing the codes to be set. Just a guess...

    Thank you guys for the quick replies. Definitely some things to think about. I dont believe it's a major issue because like I said I dont notice any driveability or idle issues. The hesitation and misfires went away as soon as I flashed and havent returned so that is a good thing.
