Can confirm that I needed to update both drivers before I could do anything, then it flashed just fine. With little driving, I can already say it's a great improvement over 1.02. The truck has usable power right at 2k rpms and it definitely didn't before. The torque converter work seemed to have been really successful as well. My only complaint after 10 miles is that the shift hang is still a bit annoying. I hope that smooths out as it figures things out. Great job OVTune!

Just flashed and did 20 mile of mostly highway. Completely different truck, coming from someone who never had any of the previous versions. ECT mode is a beast.

@OVTune, does ECT + S mode make sense or is it best to use one or the other?

ECT S mode for normal driving? I'd say no, but it is up to however the driver likes.

I'd say S mode for sure off roading

Alright guys I'm out for the night. Back in the morning for emails and such.

Man, I need to find a windows laptop. I’m probably be the only one with a kit who isn’t flashing their Ecu right now. Can I send in my serial without the laptop to get started?

I guess I meant was the combination of both tested or might there be weird results? I'd probably think to use both off-roading.

No problems with Flash Manager downloading bin files. But I did have to disable antivirus on my Win7 machine so it would run. PCM Flash worked like always. I'll give it a test ride tomorrow, it's past my bedtime. So good night Mat, thanks for your hard work.

When I do ECT and S mode, when I’m in first and get on it, sometimes.. and I mean sometimes.. it REALLY REALLY goes and yanks me back which takes my foot off, then I get back on it, then yanks back, repeat. And I probably look really stupid.

I peeled out, it's raining out but still, didn't expect it lol. So far it meets the expectations and highway driving is so much better so far.

Have a 400 mile round trip this weekend - looking forward to flashing in the morning!

When you come up for air I’m looking forward to the OP update as well

@OVTune thanks for all the time you’re putting in and get some rest and time with the family!

Holy shit. The difference is not subtle, even after only 15-20 miles. Like, I punched it while going 60 and it broke the rear end loose. That has NEVER happened before. I've got close to a thousand miles of driving to do between now and the end of next weekend. Looking forward to seeing how it does over the long run.

    Some tips:

    • Flash manager will download the files to your “download” folder.
    • The ECU file isn’t what PCM Flash default file is (.bin) so you much drop down the file type box and choose “all”, then the file will show
    • Disable anti virus during flashing. I recommend disconnecting from the internet.
    • I had to reinstall guardent drivers and tatrix drivers (got the links from flash manager) which is unusual this time, not sure why.

    In progress.... And getting better!
Do I set to the gearbox when flashing with TCU?

    Yep!

I did ECU as normal, shut off ignition, closed PCMFlash, turned ignition back on, reopened PCMFlash, picked Gearbox, chose TCU file, then wrote it.
