Ok, i just got back into a new tacoma coming from my old f-250 had to make the switch back but I'm not digging this new traction control, I don't have the trd it is a sr5 so it's just the push button, but this truck will soon be lt'd and I'm going to be hating this engine power cutoff, even if I hold the button for 5-10 seconds it says trac off and everything but it still cuts off my power, and I can't hold the brake and gas pedal at the same time? I want to know how to get rid of all of this crap, as for I am going to my local sand dunes soon and do not want to be the one that gets stuck because his damn tires won't spin, and when I do get my truck all done I defitintly don't want to be the one left behind because my abs, vsc, and trac kicks on, so please anyone if you have an idea of how I can get all of this crap off my truck that would be nice lol, thanks also I have read about mods for the 2014 and lower models but I never had a problem with my old 2013, so please anyone, thanks again

Maybe it's like on the f150 pressing it turns part of it off but you have to hold it in and it will turn off the advanced trac. I'm sure it's listed in the owners manual somewhere

Exactly you press the button once and it turns off half way then you hold it and it still doesn't turn off, I just want everything off, a backwoods mod kinda thing

If it's set up the same way as the 2nd gens, even if you hold down the button and turn traction control completely off, it still automatically re-engages above 30 MPH. That's probably what you're experiencing.

I am sure there will be modifications coming up as the truck gets exposure. I would not try any that worked on the gen 2 quite yet......unless you feel lucky.
