I have same shutter at 30 mph, haven't gotten update done yet. Most of the things that people talk about mine has, have almost 5000 miles, an really i just ignore them till they come out with a fix. I think it a great truck, just has 1st year Problems that hopefully they will figure out.

I wish people would quit ignoring the problems with their trucks small or large the longer they ignore them the longer it will take for Toyota to act on them. Been dealing with my transmission problems for about three months had TSB done and worked for awhile back to a turd with flare and shuttering having a field tech coming in to check it out sick and tired of being sick and tired

Same here. I had the TSB performed a couple of weeks ago. When I drove it off the lot afterwards I thought "Now this is how it is supposed to feel", however within a week it seemed to have slipped back to its old ways. I'm finding that I am pressing the ECT PWR button every time I go anywhere. It doesn't seem to struggle in searching for the right gear with ECT PWR on as much. I hope this can be resolved by another TSB. I also plan on getting them to check my transmission fluid. I only have 2200 miles on my 16 White Limited so my plan is to have it done when the first service is due. The service manager at my local Toyota is awesome. He said he would be glad to check the transmission fluid. He said I would just need to leave it over night so that the next morning the could check it cold first and then go through the rest of the check process. Good news is my 16 looks amazing with a 17 TRD Pro grill I put on it last week. woo hoooooo.

Had them check my brand new 2017. All the software seems to be up to date but that could just be because Toyota hasn't released a TSB for the new year. My transmission fluid WAS low however so they topped that off.

I get a slight vibration, feels like ripples in the road but it's the drive train. I haven't had the tsb. I'm getting 24 mpg.

I think a lot of people may be getting the placebo effect. I had mine done 2 days ago and really isn't that much difference... it might shift down a little better on the freeway with the cruise control on but really didn't do much of anything

Had my 5000 mile service this week, 2 quarts low and TSB done, seems much better.

Had it checked around 900 miles by same service department and they said trans was full.

I'm sitting in the lobby at Toyota getting the 10K service and TSB update and the service manager is telling me that quite a few people want to switch back after the TSB update. This is the first I've heard of people being unhappy with the update.

    Anyone here dislike it?

Mine went back to the turd it was to start with after about 1500 miles. In my opinion it didn't matter. Waiting on another TSB just like Toyota was informing everyone it was normal and then a TSB rolled out in July. Wish I had an answer for you, trdsilver.

Just about to reach 15,000 (purchased in January, 2016) and had TSB done at around 10,000 miles.

Around town I ONLY run her in ECT mode and turn it off once up to speed on the freeway.

I actually no longer curse the transmission mapping and enjoy the performance. It would be nice if the ECT didn't reset every time the vehicle is turned off, but I can easily live with that minor nuisance...

Same here. It only lasted about 1500 miles anyway. After you get it you will love it. Then 1500 miles later it goes back to crap.

Lugging, jerking, fluttering, surging, shuttering, ripples in the road feeling, always reverting back to pre- TSB -0077-16( after about 1,000 miles). All great descriptions, however Toyota is in denial, excuse laden responses. Toyota refuses to allow factory field service rep. drive my Tacoma. Five time new Exasperated Tacoma owner( 5th a huge miss for this loyal owner). Next step is a sit down with the dealer, I am his repeat customer, if dealer is unable to facilitate a meeting with field technician, then disposal of problem laden Tacoma. Case remains open, for what ever reason I cannot imagine, for I am told vehicle is operating as designed. Manic shifting issues aside( which have continued to this date, one re-flash, retraining shift values- Toyota verbage not mine. I know for all owners who have not be plagued with simular issues, thrilled for all. TSB -007716 performed as well

I have a 16 TRD and have experienced all the trans issues. Fluid was checked after two weeks of owning it and dealer told me it was full. I was glad to see the TSB and printed it out. Called my dealer and they knew nothing about it. Maybe by the next service they will know about it. I am enjoying 25 mpg and do like this truck. The trans however is truly disappointing!

I agree with you, mikey4x4. I want Toyota to acknowledge the problems then I will give them reasonable time resolve it, or I will dispose of the truck. I plan on selling it or trading it. I'm going to miss this Tacomaworld.com forum if I'm pushed into getting rid of the truck.

barney7; please tell how you were able to gain an audience with a Toyota factory field rep. I remain impressed, all my efforts and pleading have fallen on dear ears, I am doing something that is ineffective, HELP! I reside in the state of Alabama and as before mentioned am a repeat customer of Limbaugh Toyota Birmingham Alabama . Thanks and good luck with your efforts . Took delivery 4/17/16 ongoing issues with no permanent resolution Thursday 10/08/16. Dear ears-deaf ears ! Hate to contact dealer however there seems to be no other recourse, retired from automobile business, career began in 1969, so I know it is advisable to go the route of chain of command with an issue, reached end of rope, next stop Face to face with the dealer. Case remains open, and being ignored by Toyota. . Thursday/thru Dear ears-deaf ears?

Thank you OP and everyone for a good info. about this TSB. I dropped by at the dealership on 10/5/16 to make an appointment. I showed them the TSB-007-16 and got in on 10/7/16. Everything went smoothly, thanks for brave men and women who went in before me. They got it done in couple hours and now my truck drive so much better, and I even get better mpg. Fingers crossed, it stays this way for long time :fingerscrossed:  :amen:
