    I had a friend do my alignment after the 5100's and new tires. Instantly I figured out something was wrong with it before. It now handles consistently and with much more confidence.

    Got the updated software this afternoon. Only driven a few miles but can tell a difference. Delay in park/drive also resolved.

    This TSB is not available as of today and the new update is to be announced with no expected date. I had an appt for today to get it done and the dealer was surprised to see it cancelled.

    Coming from a 7 speed dual clutch transmission on my audi S5, the additional "hunting" seems more like an MPG attempt from the ECU. Its trying to get in the highest gear possible as fast as possible. My car used to do the same thing in eco mode, but I never kept it in that. Since this trucks power band is high, I feel like this is to be expected. If toyota totally "fixes the problem", we'll be stuck with lower MPGs.

    Please keep us posted when the new TSB calibrations are released. I think they are trying to smooth out the shift flaring on the new calibration.

    I heard some chatter about some new engine management code. I am thinking the new software will be in the system within the next 30 days. If anyone hears before I do, please advise. Pics of a TSB would be helpful.

    Venting!
    I am also waiting for a new TSB. In addition to very low transmission oil……..my 2017 model has the usual delay from park to drive, the occasional aggressive downshift from 2nd to 1st. And, an embarrassing surg-jing-a-ling going up hills.
    I don't foresee keeping this truck. I deeply regret selling my 2013.

    One of my other vehicles is an Rs5. I feel like that thing is constantly in the wrong gear when it's not in S mode. That said, I'm I used to the hunting for gears characteristics of the Tacoma.
