I would maintain the same stance, because that's what I'm dealing with and my C300. I'm not crying about what a POS it is, I don't even post about it anywhere but here to try and give you all perspective. It has a problem, I talk to the dealership and try and get it fixed. I don't get it fixed, I push until I do get it fixed. I don't complain about it, because what good does that do?

When my wife has a problem, she doesn't care about whether or not it's solved, she just wants her feeling to be heard. Maybe that's what you're all looking for here?

If that's the case...I'm so sorry you all feel this way. This is such a horrible situation you all are having to deal with, tell me more about how you feel.

Toyota reads these forums and so do many prospective buyers. More people complaining and voicing issues lends a better chance that Toyota will hear and care about it as sales and marketing is impacted.

Last night my 30 mile loop run at 80mph up North Hills mountain to the Gates of the Mountains exit on US15, then back down.

2mpg better than my Tacoma ever did on that run. And that's new, and it's a 6.2L L86 motor.

I had a 6.2L Sierra GMC Denali. It was AWD. I never had a single issue with the truck but it was just too nice to off road it LOL! She also was averaging 10mpg around city. 16hwy.

This truck is going off road. At least BLM/Forest roads. Taking the chin off and maybe putting Bilstein 6112's in the front and 5160's in the rear when released. Thinking about Method NV's with 285/70/17. And no- they won't rub and no, I won't need to chop anything, lol.

12,000 towing and 2,000lb payload. WTF was I thinking...

I drove an F-150 as well. The 2.7 Ecoboost. Nice truck, but we liked the Silverado just a tad better. The Ford was cheaper though. XLT, extended cab- full 8' bed for $35,000. Brand new. I also liked Ford's extended range fuel tank- 36 gal if I recall. That would have been nice to have especially some of the places I go to..

That was another major shortcoming of the Tacoma. With the MPG I was getting, the range simply sucked in the field.

Silverado. The valve train crapshoot. You got a 50/50 chance of getting 30k miles without the heads being removed. Its your money. Mine only goes to Toyota or Ford. I have a good friend that has been a chevy master tech for over 30 years. He spends most days removing heads and the 5 timing chains from 1 year old chevy cars and trucks.

And with the tacoma you have a 50/50 chance of read end needing replaced. Both problems are "covered by warranties"

BTW do you have any credible sources to validate your bold claim of 50% failure?

If the failure rate was that high no one would buy Chevy's. Jesus the bullshit is so thick, lol..

Dramatic? No perspective? Beg to differ definition of perspective- a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view; synonyms ; outlook, view, viewpoint, point of view. Perspective we have!

The origin of Tacoma World was to allow Tacoma enthusiasts the opportunity to share, discuss product performances, gain insight into available OEM and after market products. Tacoma World became a platform for owners to gain insight into common issues of concern to Tacoma fans. The forum should not Become a battle ground for members. If reading posts where consumers have concerns become r bothersome to some, just don't read. This particular segment is dedicated to third generation , not your soap box to critique Tacoma owners concerns. I for one am thankful for Tacoma World and the many members and the ability to share information with the faithful. We are hopeful your Tacoma never acts anything other than the normal, however issues do exist. Keep in mind many have been issued extended service agreements , zero deductible to 100,000 miles or 84 months. Toyota issues backed by the Toyota corp. , why? Toyota is attempting to restore confidence in the latest generation of Tacomas, must be something to there worthy of a response from the big T. Enjoy your Tacomas, you deserve corrective measures.

I would like to see what you get when you calculate it by hand. A coworker got a new 2015 and was bragging about his 21mpg, I told him to try it manually, he was only getting 17 even though the readout said 21. Very nice looking trucks but the resale isn't as good as Toyota.
