This is great... I took my truck in yesterday and was told it was a software update requirement. I thought it was bs based on other posts but the three described issues are exactly what I'm experiencing. Thank you!

Well that'll help 2 of 3 complaints... The tranny still argues with itself way too much between 4-5-6 on the highway... But R to D delay fix is nice and delayed cruise upshift as well

I think I have these issues and they don't even bother me . I have issue number 3 - cruise not upshifting after cresting a hill. And I probably have the R to D delay but I don't care because I just wait one second before taking my foot off the brake. I wish they'd fix the upshifting while climbing which initiates an endless upshift/downshift loop!

Doesn't anybody else notice that problem!? Way more annoying than a one second R to D delay!

I've not experienced the climbing issues yet, but <200 miles so far. Going through some hills soon though, so we'll see how it goes.

The delayed upshift is the hunting problem. I think that will fix that. I never get hunting, it just downshifts and won't upshift when it could upshift.

I have an appointment tomorrow after school around 2pm. Hopefully they can do it then

Mine would downshift even over the small hills, back and forth.
I'm pushing 285s with my 4Runner and it doesn't shift as much!!!

Worst transmission engine combo in the 53 cars/trucks I have owned ever... It's the double overdrive and lack of low end torque Atkinson cycle... Darn EPA

I'm with ya brother... Almost pulled the trigger today on a Sierra All Terrain but the Taco is the right size and looks awesome for the money... Gonna hopefully get used to it.

Down shifting for hills is what you will get with more gears. Bothers me about 100X less than not upshifting in CC and hanging in 4th gear.

Sounds like I should shut up and don't complain. Because that is the only thing that bathers me. But if it is what it is with more gears I'll be quite.
