anyone with a 3rd gen w/crwal control dif running the 3/2 spacer lifts and having vibration or wear issues.
contacted ready lift about their sst lift and was advised not to do it with or without the diff drop. suggested the 2.25" lift up front and a 1" block out back do to the c/c dif being diffferent hieght and angle it causes a low speed vibration with anything over the 2.25-2.5" range on the front.
    any comments are appreceiated

thats what i thought. but readylift said absolutely not with the crawl control dif. they have had reports of lows peed and decelerating vibrations on trucks w the c/c option. if i did not have the crawl control, 3/2 and dif drop no issues.thanks for the response.

I've got the 2.25 kit. I know they say not to install the diff drop but the shop installed mine on accident (told them not to but word didn't get passed down) haven't had any issues yet will be taking it off soon though.

Does the vibration go away in 4x4? Could be your ECGS bearing failing.

Also the front diff's are the same for all models, no such thing as a crawl control diff. Crawl control is done electronically and through the braking system.

Not sure on the 3rd gens, but on 2nd gens Diff drop doesn't actually do anything. It only rotates your Diff slightly which puts more wear on the front drive shaft. I imagine 3rd gen is the same design

From their site. I even talked to the rep he said it puts the differential at too low of an angle and that it could cause damage.

. Either way it only seems to affect o/r -not sport trucks w crawl control feature which obviously is 4x4. I know the o/r definitely has a different rear axle than the other models ( larger ring gear) but have no idea if front is different or not. Thanks for the responses.

My misquote not dif issue but a tcase issue. My apologies for any confusion. According to my svcing dealer the tcase w c/c is different than non c/c.
Wouldn't say what the difference was though.

My 3rd gen technical knowledge is not supreme, but I was under the impression that crawl control was all abs and computer. Can't imagine how the transfercase would be different, or have anything to do with crawl control. Pretty sure your shop has no idea what they are talking about.

I would assume if t cases r different and using the diff drop causes a vibration on the cc tcase- that the output shaft location may bit a bit higher in the cc tcase and dropping the diff puts the angle at an upsetting angle. Just thinking and i could be entirely wrong, wouldnt be the first time and definitely wouldnt be the last.

Again, I'm pretty sure the t-case is the same. Also, if the front Diff is anything like the 2nd gen (which I'm sure it is) then Diff drop is useless and actually hurts more than helps.
