well hope so, and I hope they dont extend the TSB. It initially was for 4/16-10/16 but after a while they extended it to 1/17 builds

I have both. My ford is a 2014 eco-boost 4x4 and my Taco is a 2017 4x4, both four door. Totally different animals. If I have to make a 600 mile drive today, the ford is the logical choice because or comfort and room. It however feels HUGE in comparison, like I am driving the short bus. [to be fair, I have had 4x4 tacos non stop since the first year, 1979.]
My Taco is FAR superior in the woods and much more "fun" to drive.

Can’t imsgine them not going aluminum. They’ve already done as in the f150 as well as the Superduty. Either way, though, it’ll still be super fast.

My friend's 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport has 18000 km on it and just threw a U0140 code and a P26AB. I just pulled the codes on good old Christmas Eve and helped him reset it and have to help him replace a 3 way valve for coolant/tranny etc. At that type of mileage I wouldn't expect it to have issues like that.[/QUOTE]
I traded a 2016 Ram QC Express 4x4 in on my 2017 Tacoma because the Ram stalled going 60 mph down the highway. When I looked down at the instrument panel a message said “put transmission in park and turn key to restart engine.” WTF. I knew I’d never feel comfortable in that truck again. Too bad. I liked it a lot up until that point. :(

The EB motors are all eco or all boost. Driving conservatively with mine (2.7 in a 4x4 Supercab) on back roads I have gotten it as high as 29mpg average during the summer. Typically I'm in the 22-23mpg range because of towing the boat and driving more spiritedly. During the winter it drops down to 19 or so, but I let it warm up before I take it anywhere because the remote start has made me soft :anonymous:

If your truck caught fire, though, would you rather have the insurance company total it out and get a new one, or have the monkeys at the dealership try to repair it?

    Here goes my ¢2

I came off of a 2015 F150 3.5 EB 5 months ago, I can honestly say the F150 has insane power, super spacious, comfortable. The aluminum body is a good concept but the paint wasn’t holding up well on my particular truck. The ride was great the first few thousand miles but I started having entirely too many problems, at 21,000 miles I had to get rid of it.

The Tacoma (obviously a downsize from an F150) feels a lot better built, paint, body panels, trim panels everything seems better thought out precise and more design put into it. Feels like a more solid vehicle.....and so far no issues which is the best part!!

had a buddy have 3 EB's back to back shit the bed on him leaving him stranded on desolated canadian roads in the winter. He lived in Vancouver, worked in Alberta up in the tar sand mines.

I ran across this video in another forum. First time anyone has tested regular and premium gas this comprehensive with a few different cars. They included an F-150, granted with a 3.5L TT, but it seems unless you're pulling a load (which you seem like you are) the premium gas doesn't seem worth it in terms of performance in daily driving. They showed a small overall improvement compared to difference in price of regular to premium gas.

I’m down in Brazil and the Ford ranger down here looks very good. Probably won’t be the same that the USA will get. So does the VW pickup actually. Goes without saying the Helix is really sweet.

After driving all of the new trucks I went with the F150 2.7 Ecoboost last year. Really wanted another Tacoma, but the current v-6 option is a high revving, underwhelming, laughable engine for a truck.

I felt the same about the gutless 3.5. And also went with the 2.7EB, lol

Sorry but a pic of a lying computer isn't worth much! Try doing the math and see what it's really getting, I get those same platitudinal screens too.

I use trip A for mpg and kept a log of fuel for 1200 miles, mixed city/hwy and averaged 20.4.

Yeah I’ve used paper and a pencil to with the same numbers. I just figured it would be easier to take a pic of that than to dig through the trash to find the paper with numbers written on it.

It’s still quite an improvement over the 16.5 I was getting with my 08 gen2

My wife has a '13 Explorer (Not exactly the F150 on topic here, but close enough)
It has been super solid for the first 5ish years and 65k miles, but recently the electrical systems have acquired gremlins. Seeing the burnt up F150 doesnt surprise me, and I just hope her Exploder doesnt suffer the same fate while parked in our driveway.
