2016 TRD Off-Road

Seriously, though, I wonder if the Limited is replacing the TRD Sport...

 

No - they said there will be a TRD Sport and OffRoad

 

It still looks like the clay model was dropped on it's nose and they just decided to go with it...

 

No they said it's there to stay. Why get rid of a popular trim model when it sells well.

 

I reallllllly like that sand color, toyota really wants me to buy one of these haha

 

Exactly... Poor runty offspring of a 4Runner and Tundra. That front end is hideous.

 

Going to be a hard time building a bumper for that with the grill, body gaps, and how the fender flare looks to be one piece for the fender and bumper plastics...

But at least the air dam is gone haha

 

Different Grills?? Not a super fan of either but the one on the beige looks terrible. Where the Sport version?

 

Are those turn signals in the mirrors?

 

At least they had the sense to remove that god awful air dam on the TRD O/R version.

 

The Offroad does look better than the Limited, but damn, I say again! That front end makes me wanna punch babies.

I wonder what price points are going to be.

 

Other than the front... I like it.

 

tires look to be bigger than current oem tire size. looks like 265/75r16 rather than 265/70r16. those are probably goodyear wrangler adventure tires - i have them on my truck in P rating, they are very smooth and fairly lightweight at that size.

Love the black overfenders.
Love the OR tech.

 

I thought the exact same thing....limited looks to still be 31s which makes sense.

I always thought the ORs should come upsized.

Anyone think the truck looks a bit more level than the 2nd gen?

Interesting that Yota decides to get rid of the chrome bumper in the back but put still a chrome design into the grille. I was also wondering if they put turn signals on the mirrors like they did with the Sports.

Looks like Yota also finally realized it was in their best interests to put in a locking tailgate. Took em long enough.
