    A few bolts are different.
Sorry, didn't see that pic you posted before. With two separate buttons in the 2016, I would think they still operate separately.

What's the point in two bottoms if not? (On the grand scheme of cost efficiencies)

    No worries

I agree that the MTS and Crawl act seperately , the discussion has mostly revolved around ATRAC as there doesn't seem to be a seperate ATRAC button on the 2016 , so perhaps ATRAC is integrated into one of the other 4LO systems

Its probably going to be similar to the lexus fleets 350 engine if not the exact same. Hopefully they focus on torque and strength/durability if making changes.

I've driven several different versions of that 3.5. It's a much more refined engine than the 4.0 and sounds waaayy better and rev's higher (I just noticed the redline is at 6k rpm's instead of 5500). It should deliver better MPG especially with the 6AT (maybe premium fuel req). My guess HP will be up close to 300 and torque maybe 275 if were lucky. I'd be happy with 290/280. That would make it quite a bit quicker.

First concern when describing the smaller motor in a discussion was less torque for more mileage...?

naw, toyota knows what they are doing, this motor is designed for the truck not just a replacement out of a car. Its most definitely got different cam profiles and different cam timings to produce more torque down low. im not worried at all about the smaller displacement.

Good luck seeing over your hood while wheeling... thing looks like a retarded shark from the front.

At least they FINALLY put projectors in the headlights. They and Nissan waited to be the LAST trucks to incorporate them.

It is from the same family as the 1GR-FE so my guess is Toyota would reinforce the block and give it different cams.

It's easy, just don't turn crawl control on. If you leave it alone and don't modify it, you may be able to preserve your resale value.

Anyone know if the Limited version will have TRD Off Road? They say it will be fully loaded? The TRD stickers are not in the Limited pics. Thanks

Doubt it. They've said numerous times there will be a SR5, TRD OR, TRD Sport and Limited. Limited and options for it are and have always been on their own. What one can have additionally for options on any of the TRDs is not yet known.

They will be making a limited version of the TRD Off Road, if that's what you mean.

    The TRD Pro:

The 4Runner TRD Pro was based off a Trail Base/Premium (no moonroof, KDSS, but they did have leather). The Tacoma and Tundra were a step beyond the SR5 Off Road upgrade packages (not Limited... No leather). I agree that the Pro is coming back, but they haven't really set a standard of what trim the pro starts with.

What are the differences between the Offroad, TX Baja, TX Pro and TRD Pro? It's just suspension packages and a sticker right?

They are all based off the TRD off road. ( think elocker and atrac with 4x4)

Tx pro gets you different rims and cat back

Tx Baja / pro get you suspension on top of the tx pro.

Does anyone know if TRD OR will be available as double cab in Canada?

Old Toyota's, Power Wagon, and a Tacoma
Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I have the push button in my 2014 Corolla. It is great in the car, I thought I would hate it. All the issues people have mentioned so far are avoided. Much better system than I thought.

I personally do not want it in the truck.

-cant start the truck in gear on an incline to prevent rolling back after a stall, which is good in some hairy offroad situations.

-cant jingle the ignition to get a stubborn starter to work.. much more prone to happen offroad

-in a no start situation there is a lag, and you can't hold the key or turn it again real fast.

-if you stall it in traffic. its weird to restart with the button. Which is only an issue really in the Corolla because its the most underpowered slow ass car ever. And its so quite you barely notice if it stalls.
