Looks like the new OR version has traded the color matched fenders and black side mirrors of the 2nd gen, for black fenders and color matched side mirrors in the 3rd gen. I'm betting the sport has color matched fenders and mirrors both.

I can read 265/70 in one of the pics, but can't make out if it is a 16 or 17" rim.

What doesn't the off-road package have? I see no parking sensors or bed light. If all that and heated seats and push-button start is only reserved for the Limited, then I'll be disappointed.

It needs black "depo" tail lights to match BHLM.

hmmmm, i cant tell if i like it or not. I thought it was hideous at first, but the more i look at it the better it gets. Looks like it will be a bitch to make bumpers for. How easy is a nose bob??:D

Like people have said the 5th gen 4runners looked like a bitch to masks bumpers for but they are out there and they look damn good. Fab shops use filler pieces or just mad skills with getting the angles right.

First company to make a tasteful black grill insert will make a lot of money.

I think the idea is to use the variable timing to increase mpg while cruseing. Then direct injection for torque down low. I wonder if the new v6 will be more efficient than the old 2.7

    No significant mods....yet
Interesting analogy. In what way does it look bucktoothed? Just curious

Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
So, is this not a new design from the ground up? The access cab door looks exactly like my 2007. If this is just a refresh after 10 years, I am going to be very disappointed. Does anyone know if it is really "all new"?

New frame, new body construction, new V6 engine (I4 is the same), new transmissions, new transfer cases, new rear differential, new ABS system.

Yeah, the styling is very similar, everything underneath is different.

They should call it a 2.5 generation! Looks to have the same cab with probably the same frame from the 2nd gen? Front clip and bed are noticably different. The interior is different,FJ cruiser-ish.....but looks like it uses the same steering wheel. Handbrake makes me think of a car or SUV. I dunno, I was hoping that it would look more like the SR5 4Runners
