No need for a boutique product.

Any OTC syn of the right GL and viscosity will be fine.

My suggestion. Stop going to the Stealership and find a reputable local shop. Overhead costs will be much cheaper by the hour...

    Check build thread!
Been using it for 2 diff fluid changes now. I run it all in my race bikes (their 2 stroke oil and gear oil for the trans), and it's performed extremely well, so I don't mind spending a couple bucks extra on it.

Plus, amsoil gave me a mini sponsorship (some free fluids and gear) as a small local racer, and did the same for some guys in my circle, and I can appreciate the community building they do as a corporation.

I used the oem Toyota spec that comes in a can last time. I was able to find it for not much more than other brands at a local dealer. A bit of pain dealing with the cans and pumping it in, but quality stuff.

I'm planning on using Amsoil 75w-85 next time.

Any GL5 will work though as mentioned.

The bags are nice. Don’t forget the front one also.

Redline 75W-85 is good stuff as well. I bought a pail and a pail pump. Good for people who have more than one 4X4/AWD Toyota.

Stopped by the local dealership couple weeks ago for the 15K front and back & was quoted $750 + tax o_O. 6qts of Mobil1 GL5 LS 75-90 and new crush washers last weekend ran just over $120 at the parts house. ~2 hours later, $630 ahead. My math says that dealership just paid for a new set of Bilstein 5100's.

WOW!. That # is insane... It's been a few years, but I used the top shelf of top shelf; Motul 300v and OEM gaskets. Front and rear was ~$175 ish... Do it yourself., it's not hard, little messy. No fancy equipment or even lift needed. Amzoil is probably good enough... I am partial to Motul, but will likely use HPL this summer... If I was not using one of those two and didn't have a sweet inside deal on Amzoil I would use Moble-1

Agreed, they are revolutionary. I think only Amzoil and Havoline currently offer it... I am shocked it is not more common... I'm not an Amzoil fanboy, but for this reason alone, might use it next go.
