    This! You can't plug sidewalls.

At that price I would have just gotten new tires. A warranty would have followed a new set.

So I have a question about tire size... how does the SR5 have 245/75 R16 tires yet is listed as same fuel economy as the Off Road with much larger tires (265/70 R16)? Do they have different gear ratios?

I did it to a punctured sidewall I had on my BFG AT's. Held perfectly for the rest of the tires days until I replaced them with my Cooper AT3's.

The reason why it is not recommended to plug a sidewall is because of it's inherent liability it can have if taken to court if something happens. (i.e a blowout)

And I'll tell you right now I wheeled and beat the piss out of those tires including the one with the plug on the sidewall long after I did that to it. Call me cheap if you want, but it worked and it worked damn well until the end of it's days. If you know how to plug up a tire yourself, I would consider that route first. At least me myself.

not really. you can put the 17 or 18 on an SR and it wont affect anything. the tire/rims are interchangeable across all the models.

just makes it easier so you don't have to recalibrate everything depending on model. speedometer, ecu, transmission (auto), gearing, etc.

Yeah I mean weird, I didn't pick up on it the first time around. It actually makes total sense.
