Hey TW, so here in Hawaii, Servco Toyota apparently has an agreement with Toyota for vehicles equipped with the Entune Premium App Suite to not work in Hawaii. Which sucks cause we pay for it as part of the package that we want, for example the TRD Sport, TRD Offroad and Limited. But when setting up the app and entering the VIN it doesn't allow syncing or is not available. So I was wondering if anyone with a 2016 TRD Sport would be kind enough to let me use their VIN number so I can test to see if it would actually work or if the head unit is programmed and knows that the VIN is not the same. Or if anyone from Hawaii, and/or from other areas that I know the Entune Premium App Suite doesn't work, knows of a skeleton VIN or some other way around this please let me know. Thanks

Most dealers around here publish the VINs of the cars and trucks on their lots. Maybe surf some mainland listings to find a properly equipped sport and try its VIN?

Let me save you some time and headaches. It won't work. Servco orders the radios with those features disabled. We don't get the entune apps, traffic, xm... also we can't update our headunits when new software is released. At least we don't have the reset problems.

Out of curiosity, why do they do this? Just to f' with you guys, or are they pushing a competing product?

How is this possible? What if that truck made it back to the mainland? Sounds like false advertisement especially if you are paying for it in the truck and its on the sticker.

Not sure why servco idiots won't let us have the features every other states have. I think it's stated somewhere on the brochure that entune features is not available in hawaii, puerto rico, and alaska or something like that. Also, I did not see a single entune ad or poster at the dealership. We should start a petition or something.

Btw, I tried to get the get the entune working by using a mainland VIN and the app registers fine but it won't connect to the headunit. Spent several night with no success and gave up.

Late post I know, but what happens when someone moves back to the mainland?

Got my truck 18JAN18 and past 2 nights did the same and it wont load. Im ready to take it back or file a class action lawsuit. This is not what I was told about and to include it as a premium sound is bull sh!t. How you can deceive consumers. I should never have kept my money local and should've stuck with buying stateside like I've always done.

Same thing for Alaska. Everything comes from Seattle, and exported to AK. Even though they are sold by a legit Toyota dealer. No XM radio either.
