I recently got a really good deal on a set of 2016 trd sport alloy wheels. I went to put them on my 2010 and can only get about 5 1/2 turns on the lug nuts. I’ve seen a couple of threads on 2” studs replacements and am just not positive if this will do the trick for no for me or not. Any thoughts??

Alloy wheels I believe use different lug nuts than steel wheels.

    They typically look like this.

Wow I think it might be that simple. I apologize for the stupid question haha, thank you for saving me unnecessary work. I’ll go buy some tomorrow and report back. Thanks!

I suspect your original lug nuts may be bottoming out. Alloys take a longer nut, something around 1.875" tall IIRC.

Yes this was the issue. Got some new proper ones and solved the problem, thanks!
