Bilstein 5100's upfront set at 3rd notch using the stock TRD Offroad coil. I have Bilstein 5160's in the rear sitting 285/70/17 Toyo AT2's and Method NV Wheels. Camburg Ball Joint UCA's, Custom DKE designs grill, Cobra CB Radio
I decided to create these vented inner fenders since I couldn't find them anywhere. I cut them out of Galvanized steel to prevent any rust or corrosion, Painted them with Epoxy paint and used metal mesh attached by metal screws to allow the engine to vent while protecting it from rocks and road debris. Let me know what you guys think? If your interested in a pair hit me up? Vented Inner Fenders.jpgVented Inner Fenders 2.jpg

Looks cool and neat idea, but from the factory they've taken proper venting into consideration and I suspect this has little, if any impact on underhood temps.

I wont disagree with that at all, just suggesting the air evacuates other locations efficiently enough that additional venting may not have any impact either way. Are you, by chance, planning on testing underhood ambient temps before and after?

No I don' plan on testing out the difference in temps, this was more of a fun project to see if it could work. I was going more for looks and then realized that opening it up and venting it would allow more air to pass through while driving hard, let alone gave it a way cooler race look.

I watched a vid on youtube where the toyota engineer actually said the under hood temps were a big concern and were taken into account with the new gen3 design. He specifically said that Toyota sells a lot of trucks in locations where heat is an issue.. think desert/middle east...

Yep that was Mike Sweers defending the hood skewp. ISIS needs to both look cool and stay cool while they put a jihad on you from their Sport's and Pro's.
