Are there any other 2016 Super White seeing any discoloration with plastic painted areas looking not as bright as the metal painted areas. I got some photos but I don't know if you can see any difference thru the pics. Also I'm not too sure (can't recall) if it was like that from dealership. If it is already fading or discoloring is it under warranty for me to take it back to the dealer and have them match the two either detailing or painting it?

That's normal, some angles will show the discoloration of plastic vs metal

Been like this for multiple cars for me

Just took delivery of my super white limited but no discoloration so far. I can definitely see it in your pics though. IMO, it should not do this.

My Tundra (2009, Super White) got like that after 7 years. Not super noticeable but up close you could tell the plastic was a bit of a warmer color than the paint. It was garaged, washed and waxed, polished etc and well taken care of. But it happens. Brand new though it was pretty much identical.

It'll happen though. I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it. But it is more noticeable on white than other colors like red or blue.

The white bezel around the grill will appear different than the tires too... different material.

Most vehicles have this issue as the plastic painted parts have flex agents and adhesive promoters added to it. Sometimes the color matches and its unnoticeable, sometimes it's a little different and noticeable under certain lighting.

    Why shouldn't it?

    It's normal.

Tell me your experience that says otherwise.

Also, if you have the paint protection that grille surround (and likely quarter panels, behind the door handles, etc.) have a clear wrap over it and I've noticed that this wrap causes reflection issues and will make it appear discolored when it's actually not the paint, but the protection film/wrap.

Sometimes trucks get damaged in transit and they fix them, they are not gonna tell you, maybe this is what happened here and the match isn't perfect cause in the pics it is noticeable

This is sooo true. They are not even obligated by law to tell you as long as the damage is less than a certain percent (can't remember the exact number) than the total value of the car. But this number is often fudged because the car is usually repaired at their own body shop so they can say it was a lot cheaper to fix than it really was.

Mine is as well, but as I mentioned earlier it's the paint protection film. If you look at the edges you will see where the film ends and the white color is just as vibrant there as it is the rest of the vehicle. At least on mine anyway.

But this is pretty common with white vehicles. I had a pearl white TL that had bumpers that did the same thing

As mentioned this is the rock chip protection film which is not the paint protection film they put on the hood/etc. This is the material they put in front of the rear wheel wells to protect from stone chips/scratches there. I only know this because I was looking at a white taco here at our local dealer and I noticed that immediately that it was a different colour. Looked at a few others and they were the same as well.

Never noticed this on mine.....Still don't. Plastic will take paint differently. The painted over fenders ALWAYS had less gloss than the paint on the body.

Quite possible, the one I was looking at today had the film it it made the white look more beige or slightly dirty. YOu could see the outline of it where they didn't wrap around the bumper.

Thanks everyone! I thought I was just the unlucky one. Guess I gotta try and just put it past me to not notice it every time I look at the truck. LOL!
