Yea, it is always difficult to decide how much you want to push it when you are that far from home and everything.

I am going to be 12 hours or so, so as long as I don't break anything major and can't make it back home, then I will do as much as I can.

 

Doing rear rock lights right now, ran out of zip ties... so trip to the hardware store first.

 

Added another pair to the front and I think it's perfect now.

 

I just put mine in the wheel wells, will have to see how they do, still need to get one more for the rear end lighting, but am going to wait a bit to do that.

 

Just about done packing. Going to do a shakedown cruise this weekend.

 

Wish I was that ready. Still have some mods to finish and I'm sure I wont start packing until at least monday.

 

Going to pack this weekend along with change the fluids in the front and rear diff and the transfer case... also would like to get the BAMF LCA Skids painted and installed as well... and need to get the truck fridge mounting solution done so that ratchet straps are not used. I hopefully have all the hardware for it, just have to get it done.

I can't pack the truck until Tuesday night, but will have everything else pack and ready to just throw in the truck though so that Wed morning all I have to do is double check, prep a few food items, and hit the road to Little Rock for lunch and to check out a brewery.

 

Have a Dr's appt Tuesday so I have to work late, prob wont be off until 8p and then go back in to start at 630a wedn. If I get packed up Monday I may try and hit the road when I get off work Wedn and knock a few hrs off to finish the drive on Thurs. I have a feeling I still wont be ready and will have to finish up packing after work Wedn to leave early on Thurs.

 

I havnt even thought about packing yet, I'm not even sure what I'm gonna pack...so far Beer and Gatorade has been decided and some snacks.

 

I can help you decide what to pack, I'm gonna need you to stop and pick me up some skyline: 3 way, 2 chili cheese coneys and a chilito. That should cover me for a meal. You'll need to travel faster than possible so it stays fresh, please and thank you! I'm really missing skyline. Its been >5 yrs and last time I drove >12 hrs to get near one(that wasnt the only reason, i'm not that crazy).

 

Shit, I've still gotta do my rear breather mod.

And packing ain't happening til next week, hell, I had to pack for this weekend!

 

@ETXTacoma so is Hurricane Harvey gonna effect ur travels at all?

I know it's a week away yet.

 

Not one bit I don't think. I am North East Texas, so only thing that it should do for me is get a little bit of rain. Other than that, should be good travels. Will be leaving at 8am Wednesday morning to head to Little Rock for lunch and a brewery stop, then to Memphis for the night.

 

No weather is going to stop me from a road trip.

 

Same here, may make this weekend interesting with the last few projects to knock out, but will manage.

 

Flag pole base made... just need to let it dry.



Rear Diff and Transfer case oils have been changed.
Installing LCA Skids tomorrow, going to let them dry and cure more before handling them.
Truck Fridge mounting solution has been worked out and built, just have to get the fridge in the truck and make sure it will actually hold securely.
