With less than 20,000 miles, my clutch pedal needs adjusting, but Toyota Dealer shop says there is no adjustment. Trying a local transmission shop, anyone else having issues with 2017 SR5 MT?

It went from having free play to not having free play without touching anything?

As for adjustment, the dealer is wrong. There is an adjustment procedure. The pedal total height when released is controlled by a threaded stopper on non-cruise control models and controlled by the cruise control cancel switch on cruise models. The free play is simply adjusted by loosening the jam nut on the master cylinder pushrod and threading down the pedal clevis further on the rod until there is proper free play. then tighten the jam nut.

I don't see how your free play could have changed unless the jam nut is loose and the clevis unthreaded itself.
