I apologize in advance if this is a repetitive question. I have a 2017 TRD Sport and want to lift my truck at least 3" and possibly up to 4.5". I do not off-road and also travel about 400 miles a week, so I do not want to sacrifice ride quality. I am not having much luck finding stuff for a 2017.

Just look up stuff for the 2016. The sport 2016 is the same as the 2017, only real change is the rear sliding glass.

Hell, i have a quicksand truck and every time I take it to the dealer, the service report says "beige" "khaki" or the closest they've gotten was "tan" lol147836153466896252382.jpg

I was gonna say.. I call my Silver Sky Metallic a "silver"... am I violating TW terms of service by doing so?

i think my truck is black. but it may be jet piano high luster shine or whatever. its freaking black just like mgm is gray. i laugh hard when someone asks for a paint mix by its technical name. "i need a pint of salsa red, reducer and hardener" "thats a benjamin moore color. whats the code or do you want to to pull it off your car with my paint color matcher?"

Already stated but yeah, look for 2016 lifts if you can find anything for the 2017. Ignore the negativity, no issue with asking for advice, not sure why some people don't understand that there are people who like a lifted truck, that may not go off road. Since you mentioned not off roading you could do a block lift for 3", probably the cheapest option and not much risk of over drooping the CV on the asphalt.

Some of you guys make me not want to own a Tacoma. I bought the truck for the looks and dependability not for off-roading. If that's stupid by your standards I can live with that. I like the look of a lifted Tacoma with a 17" wheel and some bigger tires as well. According to many of you Tacoma Gurus, that makes me a Troll, Mall Cop, Poser and whatever else. Btw it is grey but MGM is more TW appropriate language oh and it is a 4x4 you bully.

Don't sweat it, anyone who isn't a professional sponsored off-roader seems to get called out for having a mall truck at some point or another. You just gotta filter the BS. It's about a 1 to 4 ratio.. 1 piece of excellent thought out advice from people that have into this stuff for years.. for 4 pieces of nonsense that you just scroll past.

My truck has 4x4 not for off-road but for snow. Be aware that taller tires change the speedometer and the engine and drivetrain speed. The ride won't be as smooth and more bouncy if the lift is not engineered properly. I like the look of a lift but not the compromises including the loss of some of the sporty handling with a lift and keep mine stock.

I'm just going to piggyback on this thread. I have a '17 TRD Off Road in Magnetic GRAY Metallic. I will probably only do light offroading now and then. So what would be the proper amount to lift the front and back and still have good pavement riding while getting a bit extra clearance for offroading?

As far as being a poseur, who cares? I like the look of a lifted truck. It's not like I'm going to toss mud on it and stand around at 7/11 talking about all the sweet hills I've conquered.

Thats pretty much the setup Im looking to do on my 17 DCSBMT. What size tires are you running with that? Also, why not go with 887s? Thank you!
