Hey TacoWorld! Happy holidays! I thought I would post my Taco build now that I have some time to upload all the pics.
My whirlwind build started back in July of 16. I knew I wanted a new truck and did not like any choices other than Toyota. It was easy to pick the Tacoma at that point due to the large size of the new Tundras and the Mpg's are even worse than the Taco's. Once I made the decision of exactly what I wanted it became a 3 month endeavor to find it. After waiting another 6 weeks to have Toyota build it I took delivery of my Quicksand DCLB 4x4 sport, with tow package and JBL tech package, in the second week of November.

First thing was spending 3 hours to debadge and desticker the truck. I wanted the clean look.

Few days after I got it I went down and had an Icon stage 1 lift put on. I got a smokin deal on some FN Wheels and was able to pick them up next day. Dustin at FN wheels was amazing and went out of his way to make sure I was 100% happy. I threw on some BFG KO2 285/70r 17s and a tint all the way around.

Now the cringe part of the story.. 2 days before Thanksgiving, 5 days post lift, some idiot pulls an illegal U turn in his commercial delivery truck on a 4 lane road from the right hand lane. I was in the left hand lane. I couldn't stop in time so...

Needless to say my holidays has been a stressful mess and I am still fighting the other company as well as insurance to pay for their drivers ignorant decision. I did get the truck back good as new 2 days before Christmas which was a blessing. Hell they even saw the black theme I was going with and threw in a painted factory grille for me! Shout out to Valley Collision in Victorville for a job well done and for keeping my best interest in mind not the insurance company.

I do have a BAMF raised Tacoma grille on back order and will update pics when I get it in the spring.
Next on my list is re gearing and an added spacer to compensate for the Taco lean which is very real. The truck struggles on hills, and anytime there is a headwind. With my size tires 6th gear is fairly worthless so I did a little research and have heard some members talk about Nitros 4.88. I feel that may be the best fit for the truck and may save some of my precious Mpgs along the way.

Nick truck. Glad they got it all back together for you after the accident. Definitely the build I would go with if I were to trade in my black off-road
