Less than a 1000 Km's on it I was towing a trailer(about 1300 lbs empty) through some mountainous road(Fraser Canyon),going down hills I would have to shift into sport to up shift from 4th or even 5th to get it to go into 6th,my fuel usage was crazy 24.6l/100(9.6 mpg)even on the flats I would have to manual shift into 6th from 4th or 5th.
Any one else with this strange issue,it goes in to the dealer on Thurs

    Seems normal to me?

Towing a trailer downhill isn't the best time for 6th gear. Engine braking would come into play in lower gears as it should.

So you had a 1300 lb trailer and you wanted your truck in the highest gear possible going downhill?

5th and 6th are OD gears, so you shouldnt be in them when towing.

you shouldn't be towing with less than 1000 KMS.... truck needs break in period, read your manual.

I found this interesting. Let us know what the dealer says.
