This is exactly what his little temper tantrum was all about. Ricciardo was all over him and would've overtaken if he would've had another lap or two, whether that had anything to do with dirty air or not shouldn't be Grosjean's problem or concern.

 

I look forward to F1 five years down the road. Ric and Max are the future and I look forward to seeing those two duke it out after Hamish and Vettel hang it up.

Do you guys think Honda's proposed upgrades will finally make the cars more competitive? Or will it be the same thing as past seasons?

 

Entertaining race! Vettel got unlucky with that second safety period but got his place back. Magnussen was on fire, Verstappen's first lap was the stuff of legend, Alonso's too.

I can sort of forgive Max the whinging about Grosjean; his front tires were going off and he couldn't get close enough to make a pass, so he tried his alternative. Luckily for him Ricciardo's fronts were gone too, but even so he stayed well within 2 seconds of the boy. Could be an interesting year in the Red Bull garage.

Bottas spinning broke my heart. I have high hopes for that guy. He owned it but, dayum. You just can't do that.

 

Honda doesn't stand a chance to make up the distance this season, they've proven how bad they suck at development over the last 2 years

 

Unlimited development this season gives Honda a chance to turn things around but they need to find around 75bhp so its a big challenge plus the other engine manufacturers are going to bring updates during the season too

 

Entertaining race. Wish Max would have just shut about the blue flags but o well.

Ferrari did some testing with their 3-spoke carbon fiber concept over the off-season I believe. It's about damn time they did this!

 

Just watched the race last night. Man I like the new cars and the racing.
I feel so bad for Alonso and I hope he stays at McHonda long enough for them to sort their crap out and he has a genuine run at the title. I am sure if Mr. Soichiro was still around this would of been sorted by now or at least well on its way to being sorted out.

 

The problem for Alonso is if/when McHonda can't sort it out that's another season gone by and nothing to show for it. It's too bad he didn't stay at Ferrari.

 

Agreed, Alsono has cornered the market on bad timing to leave teams for sure, whether through his own actions and nonsense or not.
