I’ve followed the posts for a long time and I am glad I have finally decided to join and be able to get some advice from other Tacoma owners. I’ve been a Tacoma owner for 30 years. my 2017 Inferno had issues connecting to iphone 11. After first connection the radio eventually shut down and came on periodically. (Annoying). Went to dealership in March and after 4 times there unsuccessfully they changed out my radio which still did not work to enable the phone to work in truck as it should in any vehicle . The solution was to be connected but not to allow “contacts” as that was causing the shutdown. Even with the new radio install. How did they not know this if other 2017 ToyotaS had this issue. My question: is this common with other 2017 Tacoma’s? Another dealership told me this was known for sometime and that iPhones and Toyota don’t always get along. Android no issues but iPhone 11 seems to be an issue. I can still call out by using Siri on phone to call and I can receive calls thru radio but no identification due to no contact info
    Any help would be appreciated.
