So I have about 28,000 miles on my 2017 and it threw a code the other morning P0328, Knock sensor. Popped the hood and under the intake cover found all kinds of rat/squirell nesting material. I am guessing the knock sensor is fine, but a wire was chewed. Anyone have pics or can point me to where I should be looking for the knock sensor and wiring/harness. Hopefully I can get to it without having to take off the intake all together.

Exact text of code reader was:

    P0328
    High Bank 1 or Single

    Thanks

It will be a knock sensor harness for sure, its under the intake. There's a separate harness you can order.

You should replace the intake plenum gaskets, and both intake manifold gaskets.

It's not a huge job, but its not a easy 1 hour job.

Call your insurance company about possibly filing a Comprehensive claim. Depending on your deductible that may be the best route.

Thank you both, that is all understood , but please relook at my actual question. Anyone have experience on a 3rd gen removing the instake, or where the actual knock sensors and harness are located? Here is the problem, it could just be coincidence that the nesting materials where in there, I don't want to spend 3 hours removing the intake, buying new gaskets, etc... unless I can confirm a wire is indeed broken (if the actual sensor is bad it would be covered uner warranty) Any pics or advise on the location of the sensors and harness or what to look for with a scope camera prior to removing the intake would be appreciated. back left of intake, front right, has a single wire, 6 wires, etc....
