Go with the Pro, the Limited interior looks like a bad case of diarrhea.

Also a first time truck owner.

I test drove two Limiteds back in mid 2016 when I was putting down deposits for the Pro. Only big thing missing in the pro is the sunroof but the approach angle and the suspension is noticeably different to me from the test drives.

Not a lot to say other than I really like the Pro. The Limiteds were also nice felt less off-road friendly.

I know a lot of people say this about the limited interior. It looks good to me especially that my truck is white. IMO It's always better to have accent colors vs everything is all 1 tone or 2 tone color interior.

There is always clazzio and katzkin leather though.

BTW the leather is exactly the same from the PRO and limited. It's just a different color.

You got crawl control and multi-terrain select on the limited? All the TRD goodies as well?

Pro is +1" on the front, that's in the official documentation. Limited +1"?

I'll be honest, I was completely unimpressed by the 3rd gens. It just didn't perform up to my expectations. However, I was fortunate enough to drive a TRDPro that another customer was picking up while I was talking to the salesman about trading in my truck. It was an MT, and I gotta saw the suspension in that truck is great. It influenced my purchase of a complete fox setup in my 2013, which I opted to keep. If you can afford the TRDPro, go for it. Its the only 3rd gen I found enjoyable to drive.

Well he never mentioned if he was getting auto or manual so I excluded it. I was just trying to say the only thing the pro has going for is the fox suspension. I said in a post before any level of trim you can make it a PRO so sorry I didn't clarify the crawl control. Obviously an off road you can make a a true PRO clone cuz of the locker.

Why I said clazzio and Katzkin is available. People have already produced the headsets. I am making something custom from clazzio.

    Don't forget TRD pro badges....

I'm not trying to make this a war between limited and TRD pro. I liked the PRO but I knew I was going to modify it so why buy the pro. I want a lift so why do I want to buy a PRO if that's the only thing it has going for it. If I didn't want to MOD it...PRO all day.

To the OP buy what ever trim suits your lifestyle. I like all trims I'm not hating on anyone's choice.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Pro is 1" taller in the front than the Limited.

I guess I'll be one of the very few that says I love the Limited over the Pro. I did not feel the Pro driving "softer", but rather the Limited was softer (in terms of city driving, usual bumps). I LOVE the hickory color leather, and absolutely love that paired with blue exterior. I don't do any offroading, so it made more sense to me.

If you offroad, despite my taste towards Limited, I will also tell you to get the Pro. I personally couldn't justify having it as I LOVE the JBL system.

I thought someone debunked the whole 1inch taller thing. Maybe I read it wrong here on the forums cuz I know people were measuring it and compared it to all trims

I haven't measured but Toyota advertises 1" of additional lift on the Pro vs. the other 3rd gen models.

Edit: the additional 1" is only in the front. The rear has no additional lift.

I remember in the thread a while back people were going off toyota's advertisement but people measured and Cuz it still had the taco lean, But I could be wrong. Someone hear knows the answer I'm sure.

I also recently traded in my old tacoma and got the 3rd gen limited. I don't understand the hate for the limited model and the interior? Also I've noticed people hating on the 3rd gens and not sure why either. My 2nd Gen was a great truck. The TRD pro is awesome and badass, I will admit that. I went with the limited because it came with the tonneau cover and tow package which I intend to tow a side by side in the near future. I will never bash on the pro because it is one hell of a truck. The limited just fits my lifestyle better and I do not regret that decision. Good luck with the decision! IMO, a badass Tacoma is a badass Tacoma regardless of trim. So if someone doesn't like your truck, then they can pay your bill if you have one!

My only complaint with the Limited is that hickory is the only color. If black was an option, I'd be driving a silver Limited. Brown sucks with silver.
