Coleman stove is a good bet, every once in a while Amazon will have a Coleman camping gear sell. I picked up a tent, dual burner stove, and air mattress for pretty cheap.

I have both, I like the air mattress more as I get better sleep and could use it in the back of the truck under the camper shell if needed, but I do have a cot just in case.

Also if you don't have any yet. The yellow and black storage containers from Home Depot are great for storing gear. I have one that I can store my tent, air mattress, sheet, and the coleman stove in... perfect size.

Haha....bought 3 at Costco a couple of months back for no particular reason at the time! They were cheap, like $8-9 each if I remember correctly.

I've been buying most of my stuff at Academy and Wal-Mart. You can't beat their prices. I have a few things, cause I hunt and fish. When I went back home to the Valley, I raided my dad's garage.

Plus, craigslist, 5mile and letgo are good sites to check. You'd be suprised how many people buy all this camping gear and didmt like their campong experience &/or never use it again. I bought a Coleman camping table for $20 on CL.

    Responses for Page 18 lol

Should be fine, but call the park. I've taken a weed whacker out there before to clear out TTR camp.

First come, first serve, but I am considering emailing people to see if there are groups and might assign spots based on that

    Allen

Keep in mind that there is a trailhead/exit where that green circle is

Sorry to hear that. This year, I'm hoping to have plenty of volunteers to be ears in the crowd and relay claim yells. We're also thinking about changing the layout to make it better to hear. We're doing what we can.

    Will do!

Would be nice on the groups thing, trying to get as many TacomaWorld people in this camping area!

I am considering joining the TW squad for this. I still need to work out the logistics with work and the family, and probably buy some more camping gear as well. Ill probably roll in with the other folks from the Austin area as well. Im always down for a convoy!!!

Making plans to get it onto a friends lift so we can do the gears and lockers for it. Wife is coming down for this one and I'm towing a camper trailer so I'm bringing the Tacoma. If the gears don't make getting on an interstate a game of russian roulette then I'll look into adding a turbo kit to the LandCruiser. With that done it would be allot more fun for road trips.

There is always room for TW family. We will find a way to make it happen and with @tgormtx knowing that we are part of the TW group he may be able to get us next to each other.

I think that this will be quite the TW meet and greet. I think a Friday cookout/hangout session would be very cool.

For people that are starting out with all new gear I offer this advice. Buy a cheap tent but be willing to invest in your sleep system such as bag, mat, cot, and so on.

    Works for me!

I can try and plan something but we can say maybe Friday at 7pm being the main time?

Not sure of what could be going on at that time for the Jambo so may have to wait till we get a schedule to really plan anything?

Want to edit the front page for an impromptu TW meet and great time and location?

Also, if you want to put on the front page the google earth image of the proposed campsite, be my guest. May alleviate some of the people asking where we all plan on camping.

    You damn better be...

    Also @G.T.
Friday at 7PM looks like it may work, I looked at the schedule for last year and the Friday dinner started at 5pm and then the only thing left that night was a class at 7pm and then night runs at 8:30.

    Works for me on that.

Can plan on if we want to just hang out or cook something depending on what they offer for dinner that night at a later time.
