Yeah. Avoiding them is no big deal if you just pay attention. Just made sure to check my shoes before putting them on and made sure to leave the tent zipped up so they don't get a chance to crawl in. I also checked under the seats in the bathrooms before going to make sure there were none lurking since I saw lots of dead ones in the bathrooms.

 

I've only been out there once and didn't spot any. Probably because it was January. I'll be sleeping in the truck bed tent, but still appreciate the heads up! A sting would probably put a damper on the weekend.

 

One more thing to be prepared for! A good med kit is always a must I feel and knowing how to treat it should it happen so you don't panic and immediately think you're going to die.

Im getting there early so that i can get a good spot backed up to the trees. Also need to make sure people that cant park dont trap me inside the camp area!

Yes sir! I took of thursday, i may try to stay in tyler wednesday night to have a shorter drive on thursday.

 

If you do, let me know and we can head out there together then!

Is everyone meeting at a certain place in the park or a campsite? I never been to the park before just don't want to get lost on a trail lol.
Anyone else sleeping in tents?

 

For those of you planning on arriving early, if you don't have a sign, it'd be helpful to post of picture of your rig and camp spot on here to make it easier to find you when others show up.

 

You will not get lost at all. There is one main pavilion that you can meet at.

I am pretty sure we are also planning a small Tacoma World meet one night at a campsite to meet everyone and hang out. At least I would like to, not sure about anyone else?

I am not sure what page is it on, but I posted a map showing about where I would be camping along with possibly other people. I will see if I can find it somehow.

I will also try and post a picture of when I get setup that Thursday.

May look at building some sort of flag pole as well to setup... just not sure what Flag to fly besides a Texas flag.

The Red rectangle is where I plan to camp this year, this is the main RV area before you start headed down the hill to the trails.

Side Note: There will be a TW meet and greet at the "Electric Camp" Friday evening at 7:00PM. Bring your favorite camp chair and beverages along.

It's tough because cell service is so crappy. That's why I said get the window crap and write your username on the top windshield and maybe TW on the back window
