2017 Manual Transmission

Hi All..
I am new here, and have a quick question on the Tacoma. I am in the process of looking for a 2017 Double Cab model with a manual transmission and I'm having a really hard time with all the local dealers. How hard was it for you all to get the truck you wanted (Manual)??
I'm in the North Jersey area if that helps..

 

My dealer had to do a swap with another so that I could get mine. They didn't have any on hand

 

I'm going to be in the same boat next month. Hoping it isn't that hard for them to find one around the area.

They can do a dealer trade if you are not picky or you can place an order for what you exactly want but then you need to be prepared to wait.

 

Do they make a manual in the long bed version at all nowadays?

Access cab sport is available in a manual.

 

I'm in PA and my dealer had to order mine because no one wanted to trade. Even had to get the regional Toyota sales rep involved because apparently manual double cab w/ tech package is not an option for this region.

Yeah, I'm going to have them search around for one if they can find it. If not i'll just sit and wait, I'm going to get exactly what i want lol

I lucked out and got my '16 DCSB Sport in a manual just by constantly checking dealers inventories within ~150 mile radius of me.

 

Our SR Access cab 4cyl 5 speed was TOUGH to find. After about a month of having them sold out from under us on dealer trades etc we finally scored the exact truck we want. SR with only option being convenience (cruise, keyless) and floor mats in the color we wanted MGM. Dealer trade from out of state.

 

take your time OP, it's the only way. can't remember a post where someone showed up on a lot and there it was... not with MT trucks.

 

Mine was ordered in June and arrived late October. They actually had to trade with a Jersey dealer for the privilege of ordering because my build was not in my region. I would have called bullshit but this has been everyone's experience.

Don't even get me started on how I wanted the Off Road but they only make it for Canada. You make a good truck, but fuck you Toyota.
