tony stewart about 10 years ago said nascar was becoming like wwf wrestling. I see it more and more.

 

These cars are so ugly! I want to order the Erik Jones diecast, but these small spoilers make the cars look bad...

 

Gonna be a pretty bad race for passing tomorrow, only interest I have is seeing how far drivers will push their car out of the groove without wrecking. Outside line on restarts at a huge disadvantage. Xfinity race will be a good sign for tomorrow.

 

So yet another race this year with no passing? What a joke...

 

Yea repaves are nearly always gonna do that first couple years

 

I do like that Texas made turns 1-2 flatter and wider, makes drivers have to decide where they want to be fastest when setting up car, should make for more passing once that repave gets a little age on it.

 

I'd love to see more rim riders, but modern racing usually means they'll just drive it deeper down to the apron.

Bill Elliott and Richard Petty were rim riders. Petty said it was so it would hurt less when he blew a tire and hit the wall.

Larson and Earnhardt are rim riders too.

 

Did you watch qualifying yesterday? My friend Jimmie Johnson got outa the groove and into the grey. He took a wild ride heading for the wall slideways at $1.80

edit: 3+ second lead. Wood Bros. Ford is a rocketship today! Blaney is a good driver with room to improve, but I think the big change since last season is the addition of Andrea Meuller as lead engineer. She really knows her stuff.

 

What do you make of Austin Dillon's broken truck arm before the race even started? Hmm, how many people has he managed to tick off this season? I can't possibly imagine anybody sneaking up and taking a whack with a sledge hammer at any point between yesterday's quals and today's grid lineup.

Love how stages "encourage more racing" yet it didn't get intense until the last caution...

 

Par for the course. I'm not happy with the way this one ended. Gotta lose one before you win one. The #21 team def. lost one today.

 

Not the worst race this year but def. Was boring as hell, Kyle LARSON somehow gets another 2nd, he is putting together an incredible string of races dating back to phoenix last year.
